"Misleading, manipulative, and dishonest from the start"

I told them right up front: if I can’t get a consolidation loan, I’m not interested in debt negotiation. But they never told me they were a debt settlement company until the very end—after spending about 20 minutes walking me through a pitch for something I had already said I didn’t want.

When I asked directly about how it would affect my credit, they dodged the question and gave me a misleading answer. I knew better—and I could tell they were intentionally downplaying the damage to make it sound better than it is.

They also tried to scare me into signing up by claiming that if I only paid minimum payments on my $19,000 in debt, I’d end up repaying over $76,000. That number is wildly inflated and clearly meant to pressure me into a bad decision.

This company banks on you being emotional and overwhelmed. They’ll tell you what you want to hear, leave out the truth, and wait until you’re deep enough in to feel stuck.

If you’re struggling with debt, look into a nonprofit debt management program—or if it’s that bad, just talk to a bankruptcy attorney. The hit to your credit from debt settlement will last just as long, if not longer, and you’ll still be paying thousands in fees along the way.

I was dealing with Greg Fortes and he is the best at what he does. Very understanding and committed to what he does. He sold me on this like 30 mins before talking to him I was in tears. He gave me hope when I had none and really made me so happy. I just hope all you people are as nice as he is.

I am 43 months into a 54 month plan and receved a message that they are extending my payments for 20 more months . I believe this may be prefatkr lending and bait and switch. There are free debt consolidation companies out there avoid at all costs They did not significantly reduce my debt but added tens of thousands in fees. Run
