Penny Gribbins and her assistants Nic and Annie have been really helpful throughout our remortgage. Some things became complicated as they always do, but the team rang to explain the situation which made it clear and easy to understand. When I needed an answer to a query, it was also easy to just pop a message and a response came very quickly.
Half way through the process, there was a lack of communication between F&P and our broker which meant something was ignored for 3 weeks which was frsutrating, but once chased, the team got to work and it was resolved very quickly.
Nothing against the team but more of a F&P problem, we have now used them twice during remortgaging and every time there are "additional" costs which they warn you about, but they are always there, so some clarity on the actual pricing from the outset or prior to the work being done would be nicer. Our bill almost doubled which wasn't a nice surprise and we didn't know this figure until completion.

We were impressed with how they organised our remortgage transaction including clarity on fees and the use of the app. We were disappointed with some aspects of the service where they made an assumption that stamp duty was due when it wasn't. Plus they sometimes wanted granular levels of details on bank transaction which was over the top in our view. However they did complete the transaction in the end and we were gals that they were working on a fixed fee quote.
