"An enjoyable day at Mt Etna"

Competent drivers, knowledgeable guides who focused on the safety of participants and spectacular scenery made this a memorable experience. English speaking guide Salvo was exceptional, very knowledgeable, most professional and with a great sense of humour. Our first vehicle, a 1992 Land Rover was not the luxury vehicle expected and was uncomfortable for passengers in the back. While lunch was satisfactory, the wine was a disappointment, not a good advertisement for Mt Etna wines. After lunch we traveled in a newer, more comfortable vehicle.

Big plus for your guide,

Three stars because we expected something more demanding (total hiking time 40 minutes from the parking lot), we spent most of the time in the Jeep and it was rather a trip under Etne than on Etne.

"Mount Etna experience"

1. Good exposure to Mount Etna basic understanding and Sicilian history
2. The guide the very good in terms of keeping the team informed, updated and helping.
3. However, the value for money is not there with what we did in a half day tour, it should package itself to global more closer to Etna height or something , else its not worth it.

Safe, scenic, informative and professionally ran tour. Salvo is a true baggage of knowledge-he delivered the information very easy and customised it to everyone's understanding - like the new addition to the team (to my rudeness I cannot remember his name-young gentleman) he insured everyone is comfortable and is able to use to the max their physical capabilities, overcome their worries and enjoy the tour. Gabrielle, the driver, was a gem - not for one moment we've felt the hustle of driving on tiny Sicilian roads - calm, pleasant and obliging, made a rainy day feel like a dry-sunny one. Thank you for an amazing experience!

"Well Organised Excursion with lots of Factual information"

We recently booked a go-Etna half day 4x4 tour whilst visiting lovely Taormina. Unfortunately the weather was terrible with rain and fog but we still managed to get out and do some walking. The guides were full of knowledge about the surrounding areas of Etna, including information about the wine and local honey.

We were shown the old craters of Etna and an old lava flow opening. We were informed of the vegetation and how a specific plant grew on Etna which they use in the below villages to create a %70 liquor, we were then surprised to have been offered a small shot of said liquor along with some limoncello, we couldn’t say no to the offer!

Towards the end of the excursion we were taken to a cave and educated on the history behind it. Helmets and torches were provided.

The last stop was at a cabin cafe where we enjoyed snacks such as Arancini (at an extra cost of course, no more than 10 euro for x2 Arancini and a cappuccino) the experience all in all was lovely and despite sharing vehicles with other tourists it was still fabulous.
