Unfortunately the delivery arrived slightly damaged, but I still have given 5 stars as this was resolved promptly with a replacement being sent. Especially as during this period I understand that Mow direct suffered a major fire.

Only trimmed one small tree but the hedge cutter made easy work of it and only used one bar of the battery

"Hope you don't need a refund from MowDirect"
Firstly I would like to say that I cannot fault the way in which Sally, Claudia and Josh tried to help resolve the problem I had with the ride on mower I purchased.
I bought a Racing RAC-RACT90EA mower in April this year. When delivered the handle of the mulch plate was bent and one of the mounting brackets for the grass box was bent at 90 degrees. In fairness a new mulch plate was sent out but I was advised to straighten the bracket myself for which I would be compensated with a £100 refund. That refund never took place.
Having agreed to do this I used the mower for a little over three hours at which point it stopped working. The forward and reverse drive wouldn't engage and neither would the blade.
When I contacted MowDirect on 5th May I was asked to take photos of the underside of the machine at which point it was evident that the drives belts had slipped off. I rang them again on 25th and 26th May and was asked to have the machine repaired at my cost and that they would reimburse me. I wasn't prepared to do this as I was concerned that this would have invalidated the manufacturers warranty. They also weren't able to send an engineer to check the machine on site.
I made a further call on 31st May and was given the choice of having a replacement mower or have a full refund and I opted for the latter. The machine was collected on 7th June and was back with the retailer on 8th.
I spoke with Josh on 19th of June and he confirmed that he would arrange the refund. On 29th June I emailed chasing the refund and received an email from Sally saying that my account had not been marked for a refund but she had corrected this and I would receive the money by the end of the week.
I rang again on the 10th and 11th July and was told that the refund was awaiting authorisation by the Director but that I couldn't speak to him direct on the phone. I was given his name and so I wrote a letter of complaint and emailed this to him on 13th July. I wasn't given the courtesy of a reply by anyone at MowDirect.
Finally I put this in the hands of my bank requesting a debit card refund as the goods supplied were defective. On 7th August the funds were appropriated from MowDirect but I still had to wait another 30 days to give the retailer time to dispute the refund. In this case they didn't and so I now have my money back.
In my experience please do not believe this company when they say they will deal with refunds within 7-10 days. They clearly have a policy of holding on to customer's money even though their own staff have agreed that a refund should be made. If the director of this company isn't prepared to respond to emails and refuses to deal with customers over the phone I hope people will draw their own conclusions about his and his company's trustworthiness.

Hi Sally. I ordered the blade on the 25th Aug. I had your invoice confirmation on the 26th. Your fire was on the 6th Sept. What happened to my delivery in the 10 days before the fire? This is why the 1 star review. I would reconsider my review when upon receipt of my blade - whenever that may be now. I will email the customer service as requested.
