I had a phone interview which went we'll. and was told someone would phone me back later that day. Never heard anything till a day later and after that phone call was told someone else would phone later that day. A week and half later someone emailed me back. Unfortunately I'd excepted another job offer . has after a week and half of no contact and no phone call back. I thought I must of failed interview or not given a good enough impression. I week and half to wait for a call was unreasonable

I have been employed by AJ for over a year now and i will have to say I am a happy employee. It is always very easy to get one of their consultants, especially; Aima, Ben, Katie and Callum who have been very helpful when I have any concerns. Their consultants are very friendly and professional. My schedule almost always changes every week due to personal demands and AJ still helps me work when I can which is a huge huge benefit. When a shift is cancelled, they have been able to find another or at least i get informed on time. It is also great when you go to a service and you hear staff saying positive things about AJ staff and consultants. So thank and You please keep it up :-)

AJ Recruitment have been fantastic at finding me local shifts and have offered me plenty of hours each week. The staff are always friendly and helpful and they keep in touch regularly.

One good thing is the app system where it is really easy to fill in your availability and pick up shifts when you want to. AJ market their agency positions as flexible whereby you can pick up shifts according to your availability, however they often have a bit of a disregard for your stated availability. I have often had periods where I am phoned several times a day asking me to work shifts that I have already stated I am unavailable for, or work in services several hours away with no offer for petrol expenses - it would be great if they could start looking at offering mileage as this would give a massive incentive to make these journeys.
Sometimes there seems to be little communication across the team where I have been asked to work a shift by someone that I have already declined when approached by someone else. Once they called me several times in one day whilst I was abroad which I had made them aware of. If there was more communication of these things across the team this would really help, as sometimes I've felt a lot of pressure to pick up shifts that I don't have the time for.
In certain services I have not been treated well by the core staff members there due to some agency staff giving the company a bad reputation, and although there are a few members I have come across that perhaps don't seem passionate enough about what they do, it is a shame that this puts a dampener on the way the rest of their staff are treated.
At the start, it seems like a good way of working, and I even referred a friend to join, but I became more aware over time that it wasn't necessarily for me anymore as my availability decreased. Katie has been wonderful to me and I by no means want to degrade her hard work, but I have wished at times that there was more communication across the team, feeding back some of the things I have said, and more of a regard for the availability that you input on the app.

Casey has been brilliant! Kept me up to date throughout the whole process and has been able to answer any questions I have had. She’s super friendly and has got me started as soon as possible, fitting around my own schedule!
