I wanted an acoustic guitar that wasn’t in stock. The Red Dog shop in Edinburgh special-ordered it for me directly from the factory in the US. It arrived less than ten days later. The in-store guitar tech set it up for me, on the spot, at no charge. I couldn’t be happier with Red Dog Music.

I had decided to trade my Taylor acoustic for a Fender Strat so spent some time looking at the online stores to see what range each had. We live in the Highlands so made the original enquiry by email to the Edinburgh store.

I got a very quick response along with a fair offer for the Taylor so arranged a visit. I was very impressed with the store and the staff were very friendly and helpful. I did the deal for a Strat, a Hiscox hard case and a Boss Katana 50.

I have no hesitation in recommending Red Dog Music.

I have made a couple of purchases from Red Dog and have found them to be both knowledgeable and helpful. The latter purchase was a very major one for me - a high spec Roland workstation keyboard. I was in at the Edinburgh shop a couple of times looking at options and the functions of the keyboard I eventually bought. They gave me a lot of their time and emailed me with options for the related gear - speakers etc, as I was mulling things over. They also offered for me to go back into the shop to talk over any things I have not got to grips with - an option I will take up with them in due course. Overall, I got the impression that they didn't just want my money, but wanted me to get the best products for what I needed, and to get the best out of them. I would highly recommend Red Dog to anyone.
