"I had my boiler fitted yesterday and…"
I had my boiler fitted yesterday and I'm very happy with the work that Keith Cunningham did. He was very professional and cleaned up after himself. He explained the use of the boiler to me and I'm very satisfied.
However, there is a lack of communication within the company themselves as I have waited in for joiners to come that never turned up and the company did not let me know as I asked. Spoke to them again today so hopefully it will be sorted soon
Thankyou
Mrs S James

"Goverment Scheme"
Under the goverment scheme I applied and was contacted very very quickly. Arrangements made for 2 surveys quickly. I had to chase up the appointment to fit , sorted quickly, Covid strikes the fitter, so delayed 2 weeks, then on the appointed day, fitter arrives but unable to proceed as not correct items was notified to him, therefore not in his posession, 2 days later, arrives as promised with correct items to proceed. Keith the fitter was professional, friendly and approachable.(a credit to the company/his profession ) The job is now done satisfactory. Thank You Keith and RST.

"AVOID THIS COMPANY!!!!"
This company have caused huge distress to my family, my disabled mum and brother have been constantly messed About for about a year now and been left without heating! Finally, after months upon months of false promises ect the date was approaching for the boiler to be fixed! However!! My mum was told the boiler, with the scheme, would be 100% free, then she was told there would be £1000 she would need to pay butttttt, we can spread the cost over 12 months. Now today on the phone, we need the full amount up front!!!!! My mum is on disability allowance, she CANNOT afford this!!!!!! she is in tears and upset now! False promises!! Constantly changing the goal posts and this WILL be taken FURTHER!!!! I am massively ashamed that you are allowed to do this to people... UPDATE, since posting this review I was contacted by the company who stated "we can offer you the payments to be spread over a 3 month period, however, this offer is only on the table on the condition that you remove your review from trust pilot". Of course I declined. I asked for them not to contact my mother again due to her ill health to which they agreed and assured me they wouldn't... Less than 3 hours later, my mum was being called trying to persuade her to take the 3 month payment option with the condition of review removal ect! This company is not stable, not reliable and I would not part with a penny! Be very careful!!!! SHAME ON YOU!!! AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS!!!!!!

"Had my new boiler fitted by Keith …"
Had my new boiler fitted by a splendid guy call Keith .. he made me feel at ease straight away and I could tell he was very competent at his job.. he worked really hard removing the old boiler and fitting the new one , he even tidied up when he had finished it looked like no work had even been done it was spotless … I was a bit dubious about using this company at first because of a few negative reviews however I know you can’t please everyone and lots of people complain about irrelevant stuff or stuff the company can’t control.. i spoke to them on the phone a few times and they were always really nice so I thought I would give them a go. I was very happy with the service from the whole company they kept me informed and really done their best to ensure I was able to get all the work done . They even went out of there way to help me sort some other jobs around the house. I would definitely use them again.
Thanks again .

"RST…. Really shoddy tradesmen!!"
I Had this company install underfloor insulation in the summer of 2021 as part of a government incentive.
The floor that needed to be lifted was a sanded, stained floor. It had been this way for years. It had been professionally done and treated yearly. It was so nice it didn’t need to be carpeted.
The workmen were made aware of this and they promised to use joins already in place. As my furniture was put back by the time they showed me the room, the damage they had done wasn’t immediately evident. A few weeks later “inspectors” came to view the work that was done by the first team. Again I explained that it was a sanded treated floor and asked them to be careful.
The mess that was made by them was horrendous. My beautiful floor now had splintered sections of wood. Cuts ( not on original joins) started and not finished. Nails protruding and splintered sections just nailed down.
I tripped over and fell over an un level part of the floor that evening. I have mobility problems and I made them aware of this.
I immediately made the company aware of the damage done and sent them photographic evidence. They sent out 2 different guys to assess the damage.
These guys were appalled at the mess the original 2 teams had left. They agreed that it was damaged beyond repair. One of the guys went outside to call his manager. On his return he said that they could replace all of the floor boards ( I explained that they would need to be professionally sanded and stained) or they could put down laminate flooring.
I heard nothing from anyone at RST for weeks. I emailed the only contact I had at the company and she passed it to technical services.
After several emails where it was disputed by them that a replacement floor had been agreed (Their initial refusal was they would not lay a new laminate floor as there wasn’t one in situ when the insulation work was done. I said that was correct and what was actually in place was a beautiful sanded and treated floor and by all means replace all of that. Laminate flooring was then agreed on) I finally got told that someone would email me with choices of laminate flooring…….
I waited and waited and waited. After endless emails were sent kindly asking for a response, I finally got one.
I had 3 choices of Laminate!!!
I chose the colour I wanted and asked what brand it was. I still haven’t had an answer. I asked for a fitting date and was informed that it would not be that straight forward. This whole thing had to be “signed off” by senior management.
It is now almost 4 months I’ve waited.
They will not respond to messages I leave nor answer my emails. My lounge is unusable. I can not afford to replace the damaged floorboards and I most definitely do not have the funds for a laminate floor. I’m now in a situation where I’m completely stuck. I don’t know what to do. I trusted these people with my property, property I take very good care of. They have no regard whatsoever for their customers.
They will have been paid by the government but now I am left with a huge bill. Shame on you RST. Appalling work by an appalling company

"ok-ish"
First of all the good bits:
Ronaldos the electrician and Keith the boiler fitter were great. Professional, courteous, speedy.
The new boiler works like a dream. My only gripe would be that old boiler parts were put in the carboard recycling bin instead of the regular bin.
The price, when eventually given was great, could not have afforded a new boiler without the government scheme.
So now onto the not so good bits:
Lack of communication at all levels.
Being told on the day of install that the boiler I had chosen was out of stock and had been for over 6 weeks!
Boiler install cancelled by voicemail less than 24hrs before it was due to be fitted. Number given to call back wouldn't accept voicemails as box already full, apparently a known issue on many of the phones.
Customer files not updated with correct info so the electrician wasn't aware on arrival that he should have brought 2 wall heaters.
Despite asking several times for updated documents/invoices none were sent until the final install date.
Would I recommend RST? If you don't mind the stress of not knowing what is going on and are happy to have plans changed at the last moment then yes. But if you don't cope well with stress, and like to know what is happening and when then give these guys a miss.

"company have messed my two sons around"
This company have messed my two sons around since jan/feb of 2021. They did all the checks & sent guys out to do the work, turns out there was a leak so because this company have been dragging their feet for approx 1 year now, they said putting it into a nutshell that it would normally be my lads responsibility to sort it out but because this company have been dragging their feet for 12 months now they would make the electrics safe & get the leak sorted for them. I appreciate they did make the elec safe but there has been one excuse after the next. After being told originally by one of their guys my lads would qualify for 100% funding they then said oh no, they must pay £825. They can’t afford any of this & neither can I as I also am on dissability benefits but I offered to at least try as this has rolled on for so long now. I was told on we can spread the cost over 12 months & now the boiler is due to be fitted, I gets a call yesterday saying I have to pay the full amount upfront else they can’t fit it. That’s it,I can’t argue with this company any more. I’ve been very I’ll, just recovering from covid & im too poorly to argue this now, the ball has been back & forth for some 12 months now. They’ve done nothing but look for little loop holes all of this time, make promises on my phones loud speaker when some ppl have heard their promises & I can’t fight this as I’m not well enough. I’m leaving this in my daughter Jenna’s hands now, she’s disgusted with it all. All I tried to do was sort this out for my disabled lad & after a year now they’ve wrapped me up in red tape again. I’m too poorly for this & I’ll never trust in their word again!!!
