"Be careful just go"

Be careful just go: we had our reservation from February to make our dream trip to Scotland. One my sister and another me. The same thing happened to us both. When we booked we couldn't imagine what was going to happen with the covid. In May we had to make the full payment. We doubted the way things were with the pandemic; We did not know what to do but since they just told us that if we did not do it we would lose the deposit that we made with the reservation. They also assured us that if the trip could not be made we were covered by its terms and conditions, by refund or voucher. On July 27 we had to pick up our caravan and on the 26th we could not fly because the UK government decreed quarentena for travelers from Spain. We have claimed our expenses and all the companies have been sympathetic and benevolent: the airline, the hotels, the transport companies ... all except just and go. They want to keep our money without offering us a refund or compensation. Shameful trying to abuse customers in this difficult time for everyone. and absurd to think that we are not going to use all the legal tools available to claim it. We will start by claiming before the European Consumer Center and will arrive where it is legally necessary to recover our 2,000 pounds.

"Very bad treated by this company"

Very bad treated by this company. Don't do any business with them. I want to buy a Auto-roller 747. When I do comparison between one in Hasting and one from Just-go. Just-go sales was very helpful and kind in the phone. Promised for 40k and “install" what are not included in their vehicle, such as awning, solar pad. I was very touched by the sales from just-go for his patient, so give up the opportunity to buy Hasting one even they knock down nearly 3000 pounds at last and also promised to "install" TV and anything they do not have. At that time, I think "install" mean include.
We drove to Just-go Luton office straightway and was very appreciative for him waiting for us after office time. But during the conversation, I was told that he only promised to install the awning, but not price included. I am not a native speaker, even I feel very uncomfortable to hear this, but I still apologized for this miscommunication. In addition, The sales do said will provide service and polishing before we take the vehicle when I was in Hasting. But as I arrived Luton, he said it not necessary to do the service again because they did it last September.
The vehicle is not at their Luton site. It is in Scotland. Although both my family and me were very hesitate because we did not see the vehicle, we still accept the deal at last and my husband said "deal" after failed to knock off any more price. The sales do promise to provide some free items such as gas or some essential liquid and also a 3 months warrant. This warrant was agreed when I was still in Hasting.
After we said "deal" and got ready to pay the deposit, he did go back to his office to get payment machine. But he came back said "my boss don't want you to be unhappy and hesitate of making this payment , he promised to hold this motorhome until next Monday when you are free to see it in Scotland. When you check it is ok, you can pay and drive it away. We will prepare for that and get this vehicle to be ready to go at that time". I was so glad and so appreciative. How I can find such good company with such a nice sales! We went back to Nottingham then. You can imagine how grateful we were.
Actually, our family spend a whole day driving from Nottingham to Hasting, and Hasting to Luton, and then go back home. I were kept praising the sales to my family members on the way back and I were so admire the spirit of contract in the UK.
But, things started to change on the same day when I send my thankfulness through Whatsapp to the salesperson. He read it but did not reply. I was a little nervous about it, and checked with my local friend to see if it is not polite to add somebody's whatsapp without asking in advance, until my friend told me that is fine.
On the next day, I sent another whatsapp to ask if we should do any prepare before we heading to Scotland in the coming Monday. He didn't reply either. When I phoned him, he told me he sent an email of zoom-meeting requirement, asking me to make decision right after that. He said there were 2 more guests interesting on the vehicle and would like to pay the original price which is 2000 more than mine. He did not show any patient and seems turned to a total different person. At the same time, he told me the vehicle can not be collect because the lockdown in Scotland. He did not mention this before and push me to attend the zoom meeting, telling me there are 2 more people will attend it too.
I don't want to miss this motorhome, so I agreed. I felt very uncomfortable and sent an email to the sales saying I would like to pay deposit at that day and amend that we already have the deal. I was very polite during all the communications. But things getting worse today.
I did not imagine I can have such a bad experience when I buy my first motorhome. I received an email telling me the agreed 40k is dependent on 3 more payments. Awning, 3 year warrant and a gas elements. They are changing the concept. I am so upset now. The worst thing is they do not pick up my phone calls and want to sell the vehicle to other people. I do find a lot of bad comments about this company but did not feel so true until myself is under the same situation.

"Avoid Just Go Motorhomes"

I hired a motorhome from Just Go for the 1st of June 2020. I paid a deposit for the hire. Due to the current coronavirus situation they cannot supply the motorhome on the agreed date. So I asked for my deposit to be refunded and they have said that they are only giving vouchers. I don't want a voucher, just my deposit returned. I maintain that the original agreement is null and void as they can't supply the motorhome on the date agreed. They are using coronavirus in order to keep deposits that should be refunded . How can they charge for a service that they can't provide?

"I had the same experience than a user…"

I had the same experience than a user that posted here before. I had a minor, really minuscule scratch in a plastic covers on a side due to possibly a branch hit. I filled the papers and followed the procedure as requested. When I returned the motorhome I asked for the details of the cost of the incident and they did the same survey it is mentioned here. I up to that point had had great service so did I express my views on each point required. They told me not to worry about the minor damage, that that would be evaluated by their team and they will comunicate with me timely and formally if there is any charge. I had also been stolen the power cable on my journey and I offered to pay it, they said no need, as well as the toilette cassete half full. They told me there was a £ 1000 WARRANTY applied on my credit card and if they evaluate there is any charge whatsoever they would eventually communicate with me and then apply that charge.
I today realize they had charged my credit card with more than £ 730 with no advise whatsoever, no details of any repair or spendings, which is a really poor way to do bussines in my opinion. If I charge anything to any of my clients that way, with no previous detail or explanation or invoice, I would surely minimally be sued up against that. I decided to post this feedback before speaking to them as they decided to charge my card without and before speaking with me. I even looked at my junk inbox as they told me they would send me an email if any charge to my credit card whatsoever. I am doing the count and realize that what they charged to me, not only is a leonine charge, but also it coincides with what they would charge initially if I had opted by the full insurance cover.

I will of course dispute this charge to the very last instance. An electric hook up cable costs 20/25 £ in amazon. I imagine they buy it in wholesale, but putting myself on their side of the counter, i allow a £ 50 charge as a complete exageration. The plastic parts damaged, i looked for their cost, and they ascend to no more than
a few pounds (cannot post the link here but i have it). Looking forward to their email, and my strong dispute to the ridiculous charge.

"Outstanding Customer Service"

In October 2019, I hired a 4-Berth Motorhome from JustGo at their Edinburgh Branch. After a really informative and welcoming greeting from their reception staff, I was shown around the vehicle and became immediately impressed by the immaculate and luxurious interior. I have used many motorhome rental companies worldwide and I had seen none as luxurious as these! I was then well on my way to the Cairngorms National Park where I spent 5 nights.

The information supplied to me on the pick-up of the vehicle was spot-on as I was easily able to maintain, work and use the impressive devices implemented into the motorhome whilst I was away.

On my last night of my hire, I unfortunately left my key inside on the passenger seat where the vehicle then locked itself… However, after contacting the JustGo team, they helped me resolve the situation and had the AA on site within a few hours, bearing in mind I was in a very isolated location. They got me back into the vehicle and at NO COST!

Outstanding customer service and they really did go the extra mile for me in that circumstance. I couldn’t recommend them more!

"Just Go...Somewhere else"

This company scams money from people. FullStop. Long story short, the motorhome was broken into and when contacted they said they would be able to pay for damages if we got an invoice and it would be done on insurance. Then they rang and said it would be easier for me to pay and they would organise things when we got back. Well. Not only did they not reimburse me, they sent me a bill 2 hours after I left the place to replace an already damaged part of their motorhome!! They eventually took the money out of my bank as well, which cost me almost $1500 overall for damages.
They said if I had of taken out collision insurance they would have claimed it on that. It doesn't take an insurance expert to figure out what they're trying to do here. Perhaps the authorities will like to look into these people?

Adding to that, they lied when I got back to drop the motorhome off, they asked me to fill out a survey about their on road team and how they were on the phone when I had problems ie break in. I thought, they were delightful to speak with so I gave them marks accordingly.
Little did I know, it was actually a review of them as a business, which they knew damn well everyone that deals with them are disappointed and uipset. Slimy, Slimy, Slimy, Slimy people.

While I was there I counted no less than 8 groups of people that had dropped the motorhome back to them. NOT 1 had a good experience with the company. The motorhome experience itself was good, Just Go and their scamming ways, everyone was completely annoyed to say the least.
As the title says, Just Go...Somewhere else and save the headache.
Don't use this company and don't use any company that deals with them either. Drive them out of business, it's the best for everyone.

"We hired a motorhome from Justgo…"

We hired a motorhome from Justgo Edinburgh branch, the motorhome was immaculate. We had an issue with our leisure battery not working the first night, which made for a cold night but first thing next day Caroline from the English branch called and couldn't apologise enough nor offer us enough solutions, we agreed that for the rest of our holiday we would book into sites to hook up to Electricity and Carolone asked me to keep the receipts and send them to her on our return for a refund, which she done without quibble. That same day Caroline got in touch to ask if all was ok, the next day Becky from the Edinburgh branch called too, to ask if everything was ok. On our return with the vehicle Becky gave us a 2 free day hire on a motorhome, valid for 12months. We will be returning with justgo next year as although we did have a problem the first night, the customer service was first class and the compensation of the 2 night free hire and our site fees paid for more than made up for it.

"Not a Pleasant Experience"

We hired a motorhome from Just Go for a long weekend to attend a music festival (2 adults). When we arrived at their Toddington depot, we released what a big operation this is - about 250 vehicles on that site alone. We were charged £5 a day for the privilege of leaving our car there. They offer a free transfer from the nearest railway station but how can you go by train with all the requirements for a motorhome holiday?

At the handover, we were given a quick tour of the van and instructions and asked to sign a tablet to agree that everything was OK ( but no real chance to read it). However, no mention was made of the glass hob cover which was completely missing or the TV bracket which was not demonstrated to us but would not pull down so that we could see the whole screen or insert a DVD (was this glossed - over on purpose?). Luckily, my wife remembered to ask about the silver-screen window covers which were not on board, otherwise we would have spent the whole weekend with no way to cover the cab windows for privacy & to keep out the light when sleeping. Eventually a set was found but I later found out that we were given two left-hand screens for the side windows so I had to put the screen on the outside of the window on the right side to make it fit. The inside of the storage locker was taken up by a spare wheel which was not supposed to be there because when we brought the van back, the checker wanted to know why it was there! It made it much more difficult for us to access the locker and store our equipment.

The van had done nearly 30,000 miles and was looking a bit tired - not the modern nearly-new feel they lead you to expect. I guess it was coming to the end of its rental life & will be sold on to some poor suckers for £45000 eventually.

After a couple of days on site, the hot water and room heating stopped working - the display panel went blank. We phoned customer support but they were unable to help us so we had to put up with chilly evenings with no heating and boil the kettle for hot water.

When we were driving back, the automatic gearbox stuck in gear a few times. The worst occasion was when we turned on to a motorway slip road and could not get out of first. We were crawling along with the hazard lights on with cars & lorries whizzing by & blowing their horns. We had to pull over, put in neutral, switch off and start up again ( not even on a hard shoulder). This felt really dangerous & I wonder if Just Go would have charged us insurance excess if a lorry had driven into us? Imagine my surprise to read that a previous reviewer had also had gearbox problems with a van from this company! If this is a regular occurrence, then they really need to sort it out before someone has an accident. Surely auto gearboxes shouldn't start failing after less than 30,000 miles?

My final gripe. Things that aren't supplied. Surely, levelling chocks are an essential part of motorhome equipment? Why should the hirer have to PURCHASE a set at £25? Not even the option to hire for say £5 a trip. What use are they after the hire? I suppose most people leave them behind and Just Go re-sell them! And not to supply toilet chemical free of charge? Again the hirer has to purchase a whole bottle - the unused part is left for Just Go to use at he end.

On our return, the customer service representative wanted to see us. He was full of apologies and wanted us to complete a survey but there was no offer of compensation for the lack of heating & hot water or our scary experience on the motorway.

The handover operative went over the van with a fine tooth comb when we brought it back, I only wish they had paid as much attention to detail when the were preparing it for our collection.

Having spoken to other people and looked at vans from other suppliers on our campsites I would say that there are better companies around so look elsewhere!

"Scammers!!"

We had a lovely holiday and returned the motor home in excellent condition. I got to the depot to return it and they said they are too busy to do a personal inspection with me and that I should fill out the express form and after driving 12 hours the day before and cleaning it for an hour before returning the thing, I thought I really don’t want to wait an hour so I did as I was told and filled out the express form. WHAT A MISTAKE!
Only 5 hours later, I received a bill for £527 for damage to the bumper which I had not done. Luckily, when I left it and they didn’t come out to inspect it, I went back and took a video of the van all around with date and time 😃 now I had these lying scoundrels when they sent me the invoice.
The pictures they sent seemed like stock pictures that they send to everyone to cheat them out of money.
I was told the charge will be cancelled..what a surprise!
Please don’t fall for this scam and I will be taking this further as soon as they debit my card.
Go elsewhere I say!!!!!
Still nice holiday though, shame they ruined it right at the end!
Since I have had a reply, I do need to clarify a few a points.
I didn’t willingly put the keys in the express return envelope, I was asked to do so by a member of staff as they were busy and I saw that they asked others to do the same. You can’t reasonably expect your customers to wait an hour to get the car inspected upon return.
You say the car was due to go on hire again by Monday but your staff member on Saturday told me that the vehicle was cleaned, fixed and rented out that same day by 2pm so which is it?
I asked for an image with the number plate clearly visible which I didn’t get and this was again because the vehicle had already left your lot at 2pm so it wasn’t there anymore at 4:30ish when I called you and that is why I didn’t send you the video I had as I fully expected to use it should this have gone further but I will happily share this on any social network you like together with the images you sent.
Sometimes businesses get it wrong and the fact that you refuse to apologise for your mistake and continue to blame me for the damage shows just how terrible you are because as I mentioned on the phone on Saturday, all you had to do is say “sorry, there must have been a mistake”.
As a further point, on one of the images you emailed me, you can make out a reflection of a number plate that in no way matched the car we had!
