"Poor payment system on the Folio website"

Website is clunky for credit card payments, and the customer service from Folio not very helpful in resolving the issue - just keep on sending you to the website or outside card issues to solve a problem that only exists on their website.

I love the book. I've always loved the book and leapt on the chance to buy a Folio edition. It now has pride of place on my bookshelf alongside my other Josephine Tey Folio editions. The problem is the delivery. It was dispatched quickly enough and sped through London and Singapore and landed in Australia very promptly. Big tick. The tracking app showed that my parcel speedily arrived in Canberra but then it hit the Aramex courier/delivery service. My parcel sat for ten days in a holding facility and it took several annoyed prods and messages to get them moving so that I eventually received my parcel, nearly two weeks after it arrived in my own home town, having travelled across the world in something like two days! Judging from the product review sites, I'm not alone in this experience. Aramex has the most woeful record of delivery (and non-delivery!) of parcels. I now consider I'm exceedingly lucky - and relieved - to have received my parcel at all rather than having it lost somewhere. I have to say that, despite years of happy purchases with Folio, I will be very reluctant to buy again if the delivery process in any way includes Aramex. I recall, fondly, the days my Folio books arrived in 'Royal Mail' bags ...
