"There was a leak on one of the radiator…"

There was a leak on one of the radiator valves. I called the company who attempted to repair it but it became obvious that the valve need to be replaced. The company arranged for one of their plumbers to come, drain down the system, replace the valve and refill the system. All done quickly, efficiently and cleanly.

Arrived very promptly and sorted hot water failure issue after a few tests, engineer then threw in annual service so another visit wasn’t required.

Service was good and efficient but the costs quoted of returning to repair a leak, that was given a temporary fix, were expensive. Capped at approx £1k for a full day's work including VAT. Hourly rate worked out at even more.
Another plumber has found a cheaper workaround.
