I purchased a sewing machine £649 the machine as not been delivered by dhl the sewing studio as refused to refund my money until they get the machine back . This is against the consumer rights act . How long do I wait for my money??? Trading standards will be involved

"DO NOT BUY MACHINES FROM THIS COMPANY"

Excellent company to buy material from, but I’ve had a very distressing time with a Janome 550E embroidery machine. Had problems right from get go with needle thread break and the casing was not on right when it arrived, so I should have asked for a replacement right from the start. After a zoom call it went back. I was able to sew but it was always temperamental.
I have been to embroidery retreats and sat with people using the same machine with no issues.
The last return I had to pay carriage £100 and they suggested £125 for a service. Sure enough it came back not working and another zoom call. So got it going for about 5 mins after the call and then nothing.
Apparently, they can find no issues so now it has to go to Janome and all costs will be mine.
This has been going on for 12 months from day one. Tbh the length of time is down to me. I have an autistic teenager and sew to relax and I this stress has been one bridge to far.
I have another embroidery machine and the service from that company is absolutely stellar. It comes with full parts and labour warranty and no charge for collection or delivery.
I would not buy a machine from this company

I ordered the end of fabric rolls and they are an excellent buy. They were well packaged and delivered quickly. Thank you Sewing studio. I have ordered from here before and have always had a happy experience with the products.

First class service yet again.. I ordered a Janome sewing machine table from them, after a few days when I had not heard from them or DPD, I contacted them, polite helpful response that it would be delivered the next day. Arrived as promised, fabulous table would highly recommend. I had forgotten that there would be a delay due to the Bank holiday. A big thumbs up for The Sewing Studio.
