We were starting some development works at our property when one of the contractors discovered that the sewers were blocked in two different places. Dave from Exjet arrived within two hours of calling them, and inside an hour from that point, he had unblocked all of the pipes. He also identified the cause and was able to explain both the layout of the system around the property and how to avoid future issues. Hugely impressed with the service all round.

Outstanding service as ever. Once again I have had to call Exjet to sort out the drains, and once again they have turned up within about an hour and completely sorted it. "Outstanding Service from Exjet!"
We had a bit of a nightmare situation at Totnes Riverside on the South Devon Railway – human waste bubbling up onto the platform due to a blocked drain. Not exactly what you want to see (or smell) on a pleasant day out!
Access was tricky, but Exjet came to the rescue the same day we called. Dave showed up with hand tools and tackled the blockage as best as he could. However, the stubborn drain required more aggressive methods, which meant we needed to get a vehicle into an adjacent landowner's field.
As soon as we sorted that out, Exjet was back within hours. Dave and his colleague bravely wrestled with cows (who seemed very interested in the whole operation) and got the job done. The team was professional, and efficient, and didn't leave until everything was flowing smoothly again.
Huge thanks to Exjet for their prompt and thorough service! If you're ever in a similar messy situation, these are the folks you want on your side. 🚽🚜🐄

"Glad we got a second opinion from ExJet"
We had sewerage overflowing outside from our manhole and called MetroRod who came out on the Monday morning. Their technician wasn't able to sort the problem so called in a more experienced colleague who diagnosed roots running through the pipes for up to 4m from our trees and recommended evacuation or a root cutter as he couldn't remove the roots. £306 spent and a quote for £1000 for a the root cutter to come out when it was next available.
We wanted to get another opinion and called Exjet and spoke to Neil who was really helpful and made us feel a lot more confident about the whole process. He was able to arrange for the work to be done the following day but one of their senior technicians, Clifford, would come out on his way home to get an idea of what needed doing so he could set the team up for the morning. Clifford was obviously extremely experienced and was able to find a hatch in our garden halfway along the pipes which the other company hadn't found and there were no roots to that point which was a relief.
Clifford had a hunch he could solve the problem and tried to remove the roots and within 2-3 minutes pulled out a plug of roots about 4-5 foot long that had been growing from roots that must have found their way in to the manhole and grown from there. The root issue wasn't from our established trees and the pipes were clear. Problem solved for £108 and the workers weren't then required to come out the following day.
We couldn't recommend Exjet highly enough and in particular Neil and Clifford. They are obviously incredibly experienced and knowledgeable. We will be using Exjet for any issues going forward!!!!!

TL:DR? Good work, poor service and communication, both with me and between different people in the company.
The actual work that was done seemed (to me, as a non-expert) to be done well and the workers were communicative and straightforward. Unfortunately, the same could not be said for the rest of the process. It took a lot of chasing (in the end, I’d been emailing/calling at least 9 different people in the company) and over 6 months from the CCTV survey in October 2023 that recommended lining a short section of drain to that work actually happening in April 2024.
The CCTV surveyor was clear, and showed me on camera, that there was a dislocation which would need to be lined. The written report arrived a few weeks later saying ‘no defects found’! A few weeks of chasing (while being repeatedly asked to pay the invoice and submit a review) and being passed between different people eventually resulted in a new report noting a minor defect. A quote for the lining was provided and a team came in February to do the work. They took one look at it and decided there wasn’t enough access to do the job. Surely this could have been known in advance from a photo or by talking to the surveyor?!
After a new quote and further delay and chasing from me, a team came in April and successfully completed the work.
When I suggested that a price reduction might be in order, to reflect the lower-than-expected quality of service, the response was ‘I don’t know anything about it, please pay the bill’.
