"Truly Life-changing"

I LOVE GIVE!!! I recently traveled to Tanzania/Zanzibar with GIVE, and it was the most incredible experience of my life. I met soooo many amazing people, including local guides and an entire group of new best friends. This trip was JAM PACKED with so many amazing and ethical activities such as swimming with wild dolphins, a two-day African safari, and Swahili classes!! Additionally, I was inspired by students who were genuinely eager to learn English, and I was able to see the impact I made firsthand. Just knowing that this organization does its part to support the right people (locals) is something that makes me SO proud to be a part of.

"Zanzibar, Tanzania trip"

This trip was so well organised with the perfect balance of work and play. The guides were such amazing and inspiring people and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Can’t wait to see what it’s like to go on more trips with give and work closely with them. I went on the trip to Zanzibar and it was amazing to see the different cultures and learn about them fully, and being fully welcomed by the locals. They were grateful for us but I was equally grateful to have met them and receive so much love from all of them.

Give Volunteers is an incredible organization that focuses on empowering local communities and creating global citizens. The trips are truly life-changing and fuel a passion in the volunteers who build deep connections. My trip to Costa Rica was amazing, I got to experience a beautiful country full of beautiful people who welcomed us into their community, and despite language barriers, got to experience connections that transcend the borders of countries. On my trip, we worked on farm work, planting trees at local schools, working with kids, supporting local businesses, workers, and organizations, and more. This trip has given me friendships that will last a lifetime and a fire to continue my journey as a global citizen and always give back! :)

"What an incredible experience!"

I went on 2 of GIVE's Southeast Asia trips this summer and they were both lifechanging experiences! GIVE's Thailand Scuba Program was incredible beyond my expectations! Outside of the certification, the knowledge I gained about coral, sharks, and mangroves was great and I loved that they had experts on each subject tell us about them. Additionally, we were able to connect with students from a school, visit and do activities in Kho Klang, and do a cooking class which allowed us to be culturally immersed and learn some more Thai. The scuba part itself was such a great experience because of our instructors at Fast Manta and the crew on the boat with us each day. I was able to see a cuttlefish, lionfish, sea turtle, and more, all while feeling comfortable and confident in the scuba diving skills I was taught! GIVE's Laos program is an incredible opportunity for true cultural immersion across two weeks of intricately planned days and activities. I signed up for the trip because of the teaching English aspect and it was so much more! The eight days in Sop Chem were my favorite part of the trip because we were able to personally connect with the locals by learning about their daily lives and being taught how to weave, fish, make rice wine and more. The culmination of the trip in the Basi ceremony is an amazing opportunity to reconnect with everyone you've met in the village and recognize what an impact you can make, and others can make on you in such a short period of time. After this trip, I want to do more research on how to be a better global citizen and sign up for as many more GIVE trips as possible!

After having traveled with GIVE to Tanzania, Thailand, and Laos, I can truthfully say that my life has been changed! I highly recommend these trips to anyone who is considering volunteering abroad. GIVE does an amazing job at planning so many activities that teach you along the way. It is great to see how the money you pay for these trips goes directly to the communities GIVE serves. I have never once had an issue on any trip whether it be with safety, food, or overall comfortability. The best part about GIVE to me is that they will push you outside of your comfort zone. Although it might seem scary, these trips teach you a lot about yourself and the world around you.

It's truly hard to put into words how incredible my experience with GIVE was. From day 1 we were all welcomed into the vibrant culture of Tanzania with open arms. I fell in love with teaching each and every student. Seeing their level of hard work and dedication was truly inspiring. Days working on construction were so rewarding and the guides did a fabulous job of keeping group energy up with so much dancing and fun! Of course aside from the volunteer projects there was so much adventure involved, swimming with dolphins and the safari felt so surreal. It can definitely be intimidating to take the leap but it is 100% worth it. This was my second trip with GIVE and I would do it all again in a heartbeat!

After going to Hawaii, Thailand, and Elephants, I highly recommend GIVE to anyone who wants to grow personally, open their minds, experience community, see the world, and fill their spirit <3. All of the trips have been extremely well-organized with wonderful, sweet, amazing guides that I have learned so much from. It’s so cool to actually be able to see how the money you pay for your trip genuinely impacts the local communities. It’s important that GIVE does establish longstanding relationship with communities so that the empowerment is sustainable. I will admit that maybe it’s scary or uncomfortable at first, but it’s so so worth it to open yourself up to new things, people and experiences. Every day is an adventure that is truly heartwarming.

"Beyond my most Optimistic Expectations"

I cannot say enough great things about this Nicaragua trip in Winter 2023-24. The way it was organized, the amount of insanely amazing things we did, our amazing guides that absolutely cared for us every step of the way, just everything was incredible. Just some of the top tier life experiences were climbing an active volcano to see a gorgeous sunset view, sand boarding down a volcano, surfing, mangrove planting, a baby sea turtle release, incredibly fun dance parties, and that's just scratching the surface of all the fun things we did. You will meet so many people that you will get extremely close with over your time on the trip. Additionally, I felt totally in good hands with my guides Mike, Kerri, Megan, and Moises that made sure we were supervised, fed 3 great meals a day, and always checked up on us. If you are on the fence about going on a GIVE trip, I 100% suggest you go because it WILL change your life and it WILL be one of the greatest memories of your entire life.

My GIVE trip to Hawai’i was unforgettable. I loved getting to meet new and like-minded people who have the same interests as me. I am so grateful to have had the opportunity to volunteer with local nonprofit organizations while also getting to experience a new culture. I am thankful for the opportunity I got to learn about the unique Hawaiian agriculture while also being able to help out at local nonprofit farms. The GIVE guides made sure everyone had what they needed and let us all know what to do to make sure we acted in a respectful manner when introduced to different cultural experiences. 💚
