"Everyone Wins by Utilizing PADI date"

For dive companies that use the PADI data, it I'm able to provide all my relative dive information in advance. PADI recommendations provide a sense of security when dealing with companies for the first time. eg. Dive Centers, hotels, etc.

"Reassuring and not so complicated "

This was my first time using PADI Travel to book a dive destination but it won’t be my last time. Making arrangements on my own to The Maldives seemed complicated and risky. Giacomo, my agent, made the whole process easy from beginning to the end. PADI agents were able to quickly resolve a credit card snag that came up for the final payment. It’s reassuring to have a responsive team available to contact for help if and when needed. Thanks

Misleading advertising and poor product knowledge.

Booked a liveaboard in Thailand, choosing to book via PADI travel rather than direct with the operator as they advertise free insurance. Unfortunately the insurance is caveated deep within the T&Cs that is not unless spending over $2.5k. Advised I must have five insurance by consultant Hilda and sent links to purchase.

During the trip it seems the "free insurance" scam had been very lucrative for PADI travel with several on board falling for the same scam. To make it worse, having bought insurance it turns out that all liveaboards in Thailand provide comprehensive dive insurance and so additional insurance was not required.

I had expected better from a travel company trading under the PADI name that their consultants would be better informed and not out to make a quick buck. Seems I was wrong and will not be using PADI travel again.

The booking experience should have rang alarm bells as despite selecting needing full scuba kit hire, and then following up to a request with sizes, less than a week before boarding I was contacted to confirm I didn't need hire equipment... fortunately I reached out to the boat directly (operated by West Coast Divers) who were amazing and sorted everything within a few WhatsApp messages, including answering some of my silly questions!

Still not sure what value I got out of booking via PADI, all it gave me was additional stress! Not what I wanted for my first liveaboard diving trip!

Others on the boat used "No Troubles, Just Bubbles" who provided the same trip at a lower cost and with much better level of service and accurate information. I'll definitely be reaching out to them in the future, especially if I get a free T-shirt thrown in!

Have followed up with them as a complaint following the trip, clearly they have a stock response for their mis-selling approach. Very poor customer service and demonstrates further they are just out to cash in on new divers!
