More detailed review - Having bought a new (older style) house we started thinking about decorating the living room first.

It’s got alcoves either side of a fire place which, after much scrolling instagram and Pinterest, decided some cupboards and shelving would be perfect.

After looking ages for the right style and price range we couldn’t find much… until we came across Jali.

Great design choices and available in bespoke styles and finishes, all designed through the website.

Production and delivery was quick. Installation was a doddle with the supplied fittings and instructions.

We went for primed finished so that we could paint them to match the woodwork in the rest of the room. We’re so pleased with the end result.

"A unique furniture supplier"

I must have ordered about ten items from Jali over the last decade, mostly bookcases and the odd cupboard. Jali's prices are more than an off-the shelf item from a furniture store, but the fact that you can specify the exact dimensions of the item makes the extra cost worthwhile if you are short of space, as I am. I can eke every last bit of space out of an alcove or corner, so no space is wasted. The painted finishes are attractive but won't suit everyone - I'd like to see more veneer choices - the only one available isn't great. Construction is fairly straightforward - most things slot together held by bolts or cams with pre-drilled holes, although if your item has skirting, it's not as straightforward as that. One thing I've noticed over time is that the cams are getting harder to use - the cams are used to hold one piece of MDF against another and secured with a bolt. You line up the MDF pieces and then twist the cam to tighten it. I find nowadays that as you rotate the cam, it tends to pull the pieces out of line - not ideal.
My house is almost full now, but I'll probably be ordering from Jali again.

This is around the third time I have had radiator covers from Jali, great covers, well made and so really easy to assemble. Contact is made when they are ready for delivery to arrange a suitable time. Just a pleasure to deal with the company.

"Earlier this year I used Jali to design a fitted wardrobe"

The design process was straightforward, and allowed me to fit it perfectly in a tricky place - an alcove by a chimney breast, with an extra deep clearance on one side to hide some pipes. There was one part of the design I couldn't figure out how to do by myself, and the friendly support staff helped me fix that.

In only a few weeks it had arrived, and I fitted it myself over a weekend and a few evenings. With basic DIY skills you can fit one of these yourself

Im amazed at the quality of the result - it really does look like bespoke carpentry. Even the paint finish was perfect.

The price may seem high compared to mass produced furniture, but if you want a custom size or design, at better quality than the likes of Ikea, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Jali.

"Radiator cover"

We purchased a bespoke made radiator cover, there was an excellent choice of colours and materials to chose from. The cover was made to an high standard and fitted our measurements perfectly. There were no difficulties putting it together and found the instructions easy to follow. We are very pleased with the cover and would highly recommend them. We have had excellent service and found everyone to very helpful and polite.

Very pleased with a small fretwork panel made to measure by Jali. They had a great range of options and it was easy to order a bespoke item via their website. They let me know about progress and the panel was delivered sooner than expected. The price was competitive compared to similar products from other companies as well. All in all, very satisfied. I’d certainly use Jali again and happily recommend them.

"Easy to Design & High Quality Outcome"

It was very easy to design the desk I wanted on their website - it did take a lot of measuring and playing around with the design, but it had the benefit of coming out much cheaper than buying a standard flat pack desk from a shop, and I was able to add holes for my cables to go through the desk which turned out to be so helpful for tidy cables.

The wood is also high quality and the edging didn't start coming away like another company I used before.
