My emerald green velvet chesterfield was delivered during lockdown when I was stuck in Gloucester at my dad’s for six months.
My mate took it in and was appalled that he had to assemble it. At the time he FaceTimed and showed me the sofa. It looked good apart from a dip in the middle. I was confused as the stock image on eBay showed plump seating, which is not the case. When I finally returned home to Shrewsbury I looked and instinctively knew that it was sub standard. The seating was totally flat and rock hard to sit on. Within a week I was sitting on it and there was a loud bang and crack and the middle sagged. I tried to look underneath but I am disabled and had to ask a neighbour to take a look . A huge spring had ripped through the base material. At the time I had so much on my mind. I have CPTSD, ADHD and debilitating Bipolar disorder also physically disabled from being in a car crash. I am in chronic pain and rely on disability benefits. So paying £400 is a fortune for me to lash out on a sofa.
Then my mother died which upset me severely. My mind was all over the place and I had to return to Gloucester for a few months for her funeral and to reassure my father who has early onset dementia. So I forgot all my problems with the sofa. When I returned sitting on it was a complete disaster as if you sat at either end you’d lean into the middle. Causing me more pain.
I contacted “Unbeatable09” and explained but they said it only had a x1 year warranty. ONE YEAR!!!???? I never saw or read that.
If I had known a sofa only had a guarantee for a year I would’ve have said jog on!!
Message after message and emails were to no avail, you see, their little icon saying one year warranty is lost on the eBay listing. I finally found it by scrolling and scrolling and scrolling all the way through stock images of these bloody shoddy sofas!!! Where it is conveniently hidden at the very bottom.
You know where you can shove ya one star from me. I have no resources to purchase another sofa. Every time I sit or lie down the mental spring frame is pushing through the inadequate fabric causing me more pain. And the fabric has perished in the dip leaving a tear. Evidently revealing the cheap quality fabrics used. VELVET???!!! My arse. You’re all having a laugh. 🤬🤬🤬🤬
This company whoever you are, going by different names , sell inferior and inadequate quality products and take no responsibility or action, let alone care for their customer.
The words shoddy, cheap, flimsy and second rate SPRING TO MIND!!!
AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!! These people are crooks and charlatans. And what’s more,THEY KNOW IT!!!
They have done nothing more than to add to my anxiety and stress traumas.
I can’t even donate it to a charity furniture scheme. I’d be too embarrassed.
So you have left me with no alternative but to honestly describe my experience and prevent others from wasting their cash. Trustpilot are in for a treat. 🤬🤬🤬🤬 Bob Dexter
