"Huge support after migrating to Canada"
When my husband and I migrated to Canada from Asia we had no idea what the job market requirements were or how to develop a resume that could get us interviews. We struggled to learn and understand the system.
We heard about The Job Helpers through a friend who recommended their services and they made a dreaded task so much easier. Thanks to them we found employment and it's been an uphill journey from there on! Thank you to The Job Helpers team for all the support.

"An excellent capture of my work experience that got me many interviews"
The Job Helpers assisted me with resume rewriting tailored to the North American market after my relocation to Canada. They provided valuable insights into the ATS system and other market nuances, considering my newness to the region. Their writers condensed my lengthy CV into a concise and effective resume, leading to numerous interview opportunities. Within a short period of moving to Canada, I successfully secured an excellent position in a global organization.
I greatly appreciated The Job Helpers' quick response time for edits, their attentive listening skills, and their ability to focus on the specific areas I wanted to highlight in my resume, rather than imposing their own preferences.

"----> BEWARE <---- UNSKILLED WRITERS...SALES HUNGRY CEO...AVOID"
After dealing with unlimited revisions for over a year, I realize not all writers are equal. To reel you in, the CEO does this sales pitch where he gives you a relatable story how once-upon-a-time he was unemployed too, but after you are assigned a client relations manager & he has your money, he then treats you like small potatoes and no longer responds to your emails. When you treat someone during hard times that way, that humble story of yours goes out the window.
It’s been over a week since I expressed my dissatisfaction and no acknowledgement indicating he’ll get back to me, interested in hearing me out, or what areas of the business needs improvement.
Hey look, if you’re not interested in returning my emails and hearing why I’m unhappy with your services then I’m sure those considering your services most certainly are!
Here are the reasons why not to hire this company:
1. The HEAD OF WRITING OPERATIONS claims to have the designated writers credential of CPRW. I decided to contact the Professional Association of Resume Writers & Career Coaches to see if his name was in their public directory (I tried both Linkedin name & company bio name). I emailed customer service to triple check and there’s no active or inactive member with that name. Here’s the URL so you can check for yourself via parwcc dot com
2. UNLIMITED REVISIONS (even if it’s 5 revisions a month) – this is considered an industry “red flag” because it’s ineffective use of resources and if a truly skilled writer has the appropriate background and captures thoroughly the intake of client data then there shouldn’t be any more than 2-3 revisions. Endless revisions due to lack of experience is just a waste of your time. Their guarantee is flawed in a sense they would rather KEEP your money instead of being honest that they can’t help you. ADVICE - Quality (hiring & vetting for a successfully proven career specific writer) is more important than quantity (hampster wheel of revisions that leads to no interviews).
3. WRITERS CAREER BACKGROUND – None of the writers (at least the ones on Linkedin) have the natural career progression expected such as years as a recruiter in a specific field or internship working alongside writers for a resume writing agency. Best practices known industry-wide this kind of background is core experience to being a successful writer on top of having professional certifications. Not even degrees in English, Linkedin is showing Bachelor of Arts, tech certifications, or researcher.
4. POOR QUALITY IN EDITING/SYNTAX/GRAMMAR/FORMAT – I have emails of feedback finding repeating bullets or near identical bullets (lacks creativity) for different jobs, inconsistent font style, and poor template spacing.
5. $500 COST – Unless they’re experts in the field you’re going for, don’t spend this kind of money on “generic” writers who will take on anyone with a pulse. Instead, seek out specialized writers that master their craft that’s industry specific which offers more value and increases your chances.
6. SKETCHY "+" REVIEWS - There's a bunch of duplicate reviews (some look copy & pasted) or same person writing new reviews across multiple platforms (duplicates skew the integrity of the overall rating average):
- Google (Pubu, Cheyenne Click, Nikki, Sameera)
- TrustPilot (Pubu, Cheyenne Click, Sameera)
- Facebook (Sameera)
- BBB.org (Nikki)
7. OUTSOURCING - The review stating how jobs get outsourced is correct. Most of the team’s leadership is located in Fargo, North Dakota EXCEPT… ding ding ding… the writers. If knowingly a writer understands English as a second language (ESL) and doesn’t have the education either to make up for it, then I don’t want them doing my resume. One of the writers is based out of Sri Lanka and has a Bachelor of Arts and no standard English education or resume certs.
I’m all for giving a company a chance to ensure a win/win is achieved and to work out an agreeing resolution privately but sadly I have to resort to doing online review of my experience in order to get your response.
It’s called reputational risk. Learn to be EQUALLY interested in the entire customer life cycle from start-to-finish, and not just sales pitching with a temporary down-to-earth persona to later become unreachable and out of touch (shame-on-you, Chui).
Unemployed people are not beneath you. I hope you think twice next time you are totally OK with ignoring your post-sales customers.

"Professional"
Chuy reviewed my current resume and did an incredible job of improving the content, formatting, and presentation. I was skeptical that it would be a beneficial service at first. I thought I had a great resume as-is. Turns out I was wrong! The correspondence with Chuy was always promptly responded to! I was so impressed with how much was done in such a small period of time. I was so satisfied that I even went back after my resume was finished to ask Chuy to do my cover letter as well. I would definitely use this service again to update my resume in the future. Highly recommend! give this a try!

"The Intro sounds great but the owner…"
The Intro sounds great but the owner Chuy then hands off to outsourced resources and makes claims, like 6 interviews out of 10 resumes on their Siberian sourced resume text. Again, sounded great initially BUT. RUN!
