"DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY"

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY. Horrendous experience dealing with these guys. I made a payment for a mirror by accident (I opened the wrong checkout tab in safari) and within minutes contacted FCC and my bank to notify them of the error and to get the PENDING transaction dropped before it went through. Even though the payment hadn’t gone through (for 2 days), FCC applied their refund policy to the circumstances and said there was nothing they could do - there absolutely was, they just wouldn’t. The next day they said they were happy to inform me that they decided to cancel my order this time around, as a gesture of goodwill but that moving forward, cancellations would not be tolerated and would incur a one-time cancellation fee of 30% or $99.

I agreed to this (cancellation of the order and that moving forward they would not tolerate cancellations and that a one time fee would apply) and thought all was sorted. They then backtracked, apologised for the confusion and said that for the current order they were happy to cancel as a gesture of goodwill and apply a cancellation fee of $99 to that order (noting the order was for $330.98 so I’d receive back $231.98).

Further, all FCC had to do was reply to my email with ‘we authorise the pending payment to be cancelled’ and my bank would have taken care of the rest. But they were like a brick wall, showed no human decency, we’re condescending and evidently, illiterate, in their correspondence which resulted in a 3 day runaround of emails back and forth.

On the other hand, the company I was originally supposed to order from (Silsan Decor) were extremely helpful and more than happy to authorise the payment to be cancelled or refund me despite having the same policy around refunds.

Avoid, avoid, avoid FCC and save yourself the stress of dealing with these people.

BUYER BEWARE FALSE ADVERTISING

I purchased a lounge through this company and it is a vastly different colour than the one I ordered and paid for.
The company are refusing me my rights under consumer law that I’m guaranteed to, forcing me to 1. Leave this review 2. Make a formal complaint to fair trading 3. Contact media. I am a semi disabled single mother. I contacted them about it when it was delivered on Friday around midday only to be told hours later they would contact me Monday. Because i opened it (which I’d need to do to verify it’s the item I ordered and used to display in a picture to show the product I’d received) and I sat on it (again I’m semi disabled and unable to sit on the floor for days, with children) they are refusing to rectify. They even changed the description and images on their website, knowing the items weren’t the same and didn’t contact me before delivery about the colour change to make sure I wanted to go ahead. The lounge was supposed to be charcoal with all pictures on their website including a close up swatch that is a very dark grey closer to black (evidenced on my invoice and several screenshots I took) and the lounge I received is light/medium grey. Also please be aware they have changed the pricing of several products within 4 weeks - the item I purchased was advertised at $899, then days later to $699 and now to $1,199. Save yourself the drama and shop where there is a showroom and you can see the item for yourself. I didn’t do this as I have a dislocation in my spine and several herniated discs and can’t travel around. Biggest mistake I made. I have all evidence of everything I’ve written in both pictures, messages over Facebook marketplace and direct email with the company. I’d give 0 stars if the option was available.

No you didn’t offer to replace the lounge, you told me you’d reply to me 2 days after the delivery. Consumer Laws are in place to stop scamming businesses like yours. Look at all these poor reviews! And you reply making out that you did everything right. You offered a $50 refund but failed all your other obligations like informing the customer that the product isn’t as described before delivery. Consumer Laws state that when an item isn’t as described in words and pictures you’re bound by law to rectify. I chose a darker shade fabric because I have children. The picture you displayed (before you sneakily altered it without telling your customers who purchased it) is several shades darker than the one delivered to me. Again I’ll say I’m a semi disabled mother did you expect me to be in my bed for more days like I had to with your first bungled delivery? I made contact immediately that the lounge wasn’t the correct colour. You chose to not address the issue until days later. I’m still guaranteed APPROPRIATE remedy - provide the lounge you originally advertised, fix the item to be the item you advertised, or refund. It’s not my problem that I had taken the lounge out of the box - how else am I to know it’s not the right lounge and in good working order? I sent you the consumer laws via email. Your terms and conditions don’t trump consumer law. The lounge you advertised and the lounge I was delivered are not the same. I don’t expect a full refund - I expect appropriate compensation as I’m guaranteed to under consumer laws.

"When push comes to shove…"

Communication was shocking!! Only until I enquired I would hear something back. It took almost SIX months for our lounge to be sorted although I advised I wanted a refund. As soon as I pushed for a refund no one responded to my email, call or text message that week but instead get an email for a fast track delivery. I am entitled to a refund based on your policy not arriving within reasonable time and would never shop through you ever again!!

#1236 Poor communication/s no phone contact. Barely any notifications except in response to my questions.
Everything was me messaging them via some BOT CHAT
They didn’t organise delivery date - just told me it had been shipped then shipped to wrong address / fortunately packing labels was correct and a smart carrier checked!
‼️Courier company was excellent bar one data entry problem‼️
*poor product design: >One the end pieces / armrest(s) since people commonly manover furniture by the ends / armrests the ankers / clippings should be inverted!

"My sofa"

My sofa, ordered end of February from Furniture Clearance Centre was due in March. I was not notified of any delay (Covid in China) and then issue at sea) at all until I inquired. It is now TWO months late and I was told it was arriving from China two weeks ago and I would receive a tracking number. I have received no tracking number despite calling again last week when I was told I would receive a tracking number on Monday May 15 and have received nothing. I will never, ever shop with FCC again. It is a disgraceful way to treat customers by not keeping them informed.

Material of the bed was not what I was expecting. Thought I was getting a fabric bed. Ended up being a faux leather material
