I sold a property through one of the solicitors with no problem but am trying to buy a property through the same firm. Before being passed to the acting solicitor, a welcome team dealt with the initial paperwork for about a month. I found them very difficult to deal with. There is an online area for communication and I found that my questions were either not answered at all or not fully answered. I was asked for information when I had already sent it and had to repeat things often. It seems that it is a ticking box exercise for them and that they do not deal with clients as individuals. I am however confident that the acting solicitor will now take over from the welcome team in a satisfactory manner.
