"Chatic and Very disappointing"
Very disappointed with CandDFD, poor communication, and chaotic organisation.
We went to visit our deceased loved one, his white shirt had blood all around the collar, no care taken. He looked uncomfortable, his head cocked backwards and knees bent. I was told it was an eco coffin, but even paper or cardboard under his head would have looked better.
I asked for fingers prints, but each finger print is on an A4 piece of paper, they emailed the original but still A4 size, and unable to use them.
CandDFD collected my loved one from care home on November 6th, on 11th we visited and made all arrangements with CandDFD. Then November 21st I received a phone call. Susan could not read Kerrie's writing and had to go through all arrangements again. Then Susan asked "where is the body, are we collecting from hospital or care home?" What an awful question to be asked when he was already in their care for nearly 2 weeks.
The C and DFD are 4.6 miles away from my address. On the day of funeral the hearse was more than 15 mins late. We were stood outside in the rain waiting, no phone call to apologise. Once again we had to phone and chase them up, no apology given.
We had to call and chase up everything including the name of celebrant, chased for date of funeral, (which was 7 weeks after he had died)
I made a complaint by phone to Kerrie but all I received was a very insincere "all I can do is apologise" which Kerrie just repeated. They made the process complicated and difficult.
I have used this funeral directors twice before and the level of service was good but I shall never use them again.
