Great experience and product, the only reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because the finish/color we were looking for had been discontinued by the producer, but was still visible as an option on the website.
We went with copper finish, and it looks wonderful, we are very happy with our purchase. Also, the mailbox arrived earlier than estimated.

"Manchester Column Mounted Mailbox - Overpriced for the Quality"

This review pertains only to the referenced product purchased on the MailboxWorks website and the manufacturer of this product, Qualark. Our experience doing business with MailboxWorks has been positive. BUYER BEWARE. The top hinge of the door broke after less than three years of use. We contacted MailboxWorks who we purchased the mailbox from. They referred us to the manufacturer for assistance. What is prompting us to write this review is to warn customers of potential quality issues with this product and also the high degree of unprofessionalism we encountered when dealing with manufacturer. This manufacturer simply does not stand by their product. The rep spent more time trying to cast blame for their product's failure on the customer than they did showing any concern or interest in using customer feedback to explore for possible product defects in their hinges or to improve their product for future customers. The rep basically said it's to be expected that a door hinge will fail and suggested we must not be opening and closing the door "gingerly enough". Really? The truth is this product failed under normal residential use in a time period MUCH less than one would expect for a nearly $500 investment. Potential buyers should take heed that Qualark's limited product warranty is only ONE year, much less than the standard 3-5 year warranties that other mailbox manufacturers offer on their products, and in some cases even lifetime warranties. Unfortunately, we were not educated on Qualark's sub-par warranty at the time of our purchase, and given the issues we have experienced and the arrogant attitude of the manufacturer, we want to make other potential buyers aware. It should also be noted that the mailbox insert of this product is made of plastic, not quality cast aluminum. Unfortunately, the Manchester Column Mounted Mailbox, and the manufacturer Qualark, does not deliver the product quality, product longevity or customer service that one would expect at this price point.

MailboxWorks did me right! I ordered the wrong type mailbox and just days before it was due to ship I learned I had to have a different type mailbox at my new home. To my pleasant surprise, MailboxWorks was able to cancel my order and refund my payment the same day. I will return the favor, of course, and replace the order with the correct type mailbox and I will definitely tell everyone what great customer service they offer. Thank you MailboxWorks for saving me additional anxiety during our stressful building process. 😊
