Couldn't be more delighted with our carpets and floors from Jims. We visited the store with an idea of what we wanted and after speaking with Rob we quickly realised that what we had in mind was completely impractical and way above our budget. Thanks to the advice we got we now have an absolutely fantastic result at a price that made us way happier! After having always used national brands in the past and been run around and ripped off I'm so happy to have found an independent business that blows them out the water. We'll never go anywhere else again and recommend them unreservedly to anyone and everyone! Thanks Jims!

"Awful customer service"
Had someone come out to measure for carpet, lovely guy friendly and was professional and quick. Had an email asking which carpet we want for pricing. We have no idea on how much we need to I asked for the measurements so we would know what our budget was price per metre, have heard nothing back, chased last week and no one has come back to me. They have definitely lost a customer now.

I went to Jim’s Carpets 3/8/20 their products were of good quality and a modest price , customer service was 5 star person at the desk extremely helpful and friendly.

"Do not buy a carpet from this company"
Do not buy a carpet from this company. I spent over £700 on 2 stair carpets. The fitting was horrendous, it was visibly frayed at the edge, constantly kept coming loose on the stairs and looked a mess. Their carpet fitter came out 4 times to try to correct it, and when it started to come loose once again, I insisted they sent out a different fitter. He was appalled and said that the whole carpet needed replacing, as it had been fitted so badly, it couldn't be re-fitted. When they replaced the carpet, they found that the carpet was also faulty, the backing had "turned to dust" (in the words of the fitter), which was one of the reasons it kept coming loose. In fitting the new carpet, the new paintwork inevitably got quite badly scratched (despite the carpet fitter taking care), as the grippers and underlay also had to be replaced. When I spoke to Jim's Carpets about this, they told me that they had replaced the carpet "as a gesture of goodwill" and it was just tough that the paintwork had been scratched - that was for me to sort out! Terrible customer service, had to constantly chase them at each stage. Coudln't be worse to be honest.

"Poor after sales service"
Sadly a similar experience to some other reviews in terms of their after sales customer service.
There was an issue with my vinyl flooring only 2 weeks after it was laid. I contacted the store and informed them of this, and I had to chase up the progress several times via phone calls and emails. On more than one occasion I was promised phone calls back that never materialised. Not once did anyone make contact with me until I submitted a formal email complaint after 4 weeks of chasing updates.
They eventually replaced the flooring, however it took 7 weeks after the initial complaint was made for the flooring to be replaced. The final straw was when a fitter was supposed to come and I waited in all afternoon only for them to never turn up - this was not the fitter’s fault and the store admitted it was the company’s fault due to an admin error at the warehouse.
They really need to get their house in order and improve their customer service especially around communication.

Poor experience from order to current..
My partner and I went into Jim's carpets in October and ordered laminate flooring, vinyl flooring and carpets.
The first snag after ordering was being told the laminate flooring we ordered was no longer available. They didn't check the stock when we were in the store. We then had to make another trip to Jim's and select a new floor. Credit where credit is due - Jim's did match the price when we asked.
We took out the 0% finance option and were given dates for the installs to take place.
The Laminate flooring went in without issue.
The vinyl fitter however did not show up on the day he was suppose to. We then had to change Jim's several times to find out what was going on and everyone we spoke to would say that So and So isn't here, etc... no one at Jim's took responsibility of the issue and made sure that their fitter got in touch with us - until I called in and insisted they do so three times before we actually got a call back from Steve.
Steve then told my partner he would come around the following week at tea time. He went from work back to Huddersfield to the house and waited there until 19:45 when Steve finally answered his phone - He had forgotten he was suppose to come by and fit our vinyl and the remaining carpet on the stairs. So my partner had to sit there for two and a half hours in an empty house waiting for absolutely nothing - never mind the full day we sat there when he didn't show up at all to do the Screed work.
So Steve promised to ring him this morning to sort out fitting for today and informed us that he could not come today. We can't even have someone else fit the flooring because he has our materials with him. We have a cooker being installed today in the kitchen which is gas so we will have a gap around the stove which is unacceptable.
Steve has promised to come tomorrow to fit our floor apparently but I have no hope in that because so far he has been a massive flake who hasn't kept his word.
This was my 3rd purchase from Jim's carpets and it will be my last. Poor service and poor after care. They use to be a good family business which I fully supported and recommended. Now no. They even took the credit already for the flooring so we're paying for floors which are not actually completely fit.

"Great buying experience, poor after care."
Great buying experience with tags like ‘we really want the Horsforth market’. Unfortunately the after service is dismal. We’ve called them probably 5 times now asking for them to come and rectify a small snag ; empty call back promises, arranging the fitter to return that never turns up and countless ‘sorry Jamie can’t come to the phone’ excuses - it’s so disappointing. We recommended them to many friends and family after the initial sales encounter and now I have no good words to say about them to a very affluent word of mouth area. A shame really.

All the staff in the store are incredibly knowledgable and helpful and the fitting tam were excellent and would highly recommend them all.

Excellent service. Very customer friendly in the shop. Great product knowledge and product choice. Fitters and surveyors were excellent as well.
All in all would definitely use again.
