"Me and my son are completely new to mountain biking and Danielle was excellent at teaching us good habits.
The Morning session was a technique session which was really good where the instructor went through many things including the ready position, braking effectively, tackling obstacles such as large root stumps, going down hill through narrow paths. All of these things at first seemed frightening but with Danielle's expert teaching we were able to conquer all of these.
The afternoon session - we went on the trails and were able to put into practice the techniques we learnt in the morning.

I feel it has left us in a position where we can now actually go off on a trail and put into practice all the stuff we were taught and then come back for more - once we have nailed all the basics.

Full marks to the instructor Danielle, who put on such a great course.

"Staff friendly but course cancelled at short notice."

Staff have been very helpful. I received a gift voucher early October for Single Track Fundamentals, but there have been limited dates to use this voucher. I confirmed a date with them , but sadly the course was cancelled with only 5 days prior notice.
Now I have to wait several months before they are likely to run the course again.
I cannot rate the course itself until I've taken it, the content looks excellent, just a shame I have to wait so long to benefit from it.

This is the second course I've attended with Singletrack School and it won't be the last. Both courses taught me a lot about how to better ride my bike, as well as how to maintain it. All of the instructors were professional and incredibly knowledgeable and skilled - they had an answer for every question thrown at them and were always incredibly encouraging and positive. The Surrey Hills are a great setting for the training too, loads of trails of all shapes and sizes.

"Brilliant day out."

As an off-road novice I took the Introduction to Mountain Biking full day course and really enjoyed it.
There was plenty of riding and opportunity to put the lessons into practice and Danielle was nothing if not patient.
The setting was also splendid set in the beautiful Surrey Hills.
Highly recommended.

Fundamentals course goes into why as well as how so that you can buy in to what you're being taught. You really have to do the afternoon guided ride to get the most out of it though.

"I did the foundations course"

I did the foundations course. It was structured really well with individual feedback. It was great to understand how to move around the bike and the time spent on bike set up was very worthwhile. The next day I was out at a bike park singletrack and tried some stuff I would have refused the week before...even a tiny rock garden. Highly recommend!!
