After a 26 hour labour, and then an emergency C-section at an NHS hospital i was handed my 12.2 pound baby! Turns out that i had undetected gestational diabetes. I then suffered post natal depression and the next 2 years was a very hard recovery. But in the end i did recover. I lost 2 years of my life and all the tumour. My NHS midwife missed 4 signs early on in the pregnancy, and it was deemed as "medical negligence", as they should have picked up on the gestational diabetes. Clarke Willmott were excellent. 10/10. Gemma Osgood handled my case, she was attentive and caring and clearly went out of her way for me. Held my hand the whole way. Very professional, yet still very human and personal. There is no way i could have done this without her. They built an amazing case and got me £16,000 compensation. Which i was very happy with. After giving birth to my first child I had a 3rd degree tear which lead to many issues as it was repaired as a 2nd degree tear.
