"Bike was in bad shape and they don't keep their deals."

The bike came in much worse shape than advertised; obviously through multiple crashes, out of tune, scratched, wrong chain installed, a creaking bottom bracket, and dinged up. I didn't send it back, first mistake. I fixed it up and after a year tried to sell it back via the "guaranteed buy back" program, which is apparently not accurate. I was offered trade in value only, which I did not want to gamble on another used bike. I was able to get a cash value offer of nearly half what was supposedly "guaranteed", which I regretfully attempted to take, second mistake. Upon arrival they are trying to take more money off the deal by claiming a scratch is structural. The scratch was almost certainly there when I got it in the first place.

"All I can say is stay away from this…"

All I can say is stay away from this company. They take the order well, they answer the phone and chat but they just don't get it. When placing an online order and shipping to Canada, except for a little popup message, they really don't tell you anything about tax and duty amounts and then 1 month later, you get a ridiculous $40 bill on a $70 item from Fedex and the company could care less. Never again!

"The customer does not matter."

Just 4 days after receiving my 2017 Specialized S-Works road bike, I returned it back to TPC. The bike evidenced a groaning and vibration when under load during my one and only ride. I traced it to excessive rear wheel wobble impacting the rear brake pads. It's beyond belief that they would ship a bike out to a paying customer in this condition. I called a "Ride Guide" but couldn't get any useful information on their so called "141 point inspection" procedure. They wanted me to take the bike to my shop to get the problem diagnosed. The nerve!!! After paying nearly $4K they want me to solve the problem for them! TPC is all about getting you the customer to keep the bike for the 30 days and then its your problem. Also, the chain came dirty, but I least had the decency to clean it before returning the bike. Horrible experience all around. Stay away! They just don't care about the customer.

"The only thing they do well is ship…"

The only thing they did well was ship the bike fast. I reached out 36 days after receiving the bike that I wasn't happy the first time I got to ride the bike due to the late snow. I was out of their 30-day return policy and to buy the bike back they wanted me to take a loss of $500+ off the cost of the bike. I kept the bike to see if I could get used to the geometry. I took it to a friend that works at a professional service shop to have the shocks tuned after I had issues and they said they would help if there were issues with the shocks (good on them for being willing to help with this). I was thinking about selling the bike back even at the big discount because I was worried about the carbon repair on the frame and being liable for someone else crashing. I'm glad I didn't try to sell it privately as the frame cracked in another location after a few more rides on greens and blues. I'm very lucky I did not try to take it on any more difficult rides or push it harder as it could have resulted in serious injuries, death. The Pro's Closet's policy is "you rode it, it is your problem now". I don't think they worry about the liability they carry selling compromised bikes as "certified used" bikes. Read they many reviews online of others that have had the same experience buying "repaired" frames and having them break quickly after their 30 day return policy, only to be told "it is an unfortunate circumstance but we carry no warranty".

"Brand New bike was sold with cosmetic…"

Brand New bike was sold with cosmetic and mechanical damage. The Ride Pros suggested I go get it fixed at my local bike shop and "deal"with the paint chips and various scratches. The bike was not prepped and arrived unable to ride. If they listed the bike as I received it "lost of paint chips and scratches, front wheel out of true, rear derailleur needs to be tuned a shop because it is broken and missing fender mounts. I would not have bought it. Terrible experience.

"Useless certification process"

Last summer I bought a 2019 Specialized Tarmac SL6 Pro Road from The Pro’s Closet. It is an expensive lemon. 1) When I took it in for a tune-up this summer, I learned that the Front Derailleur is damaged beyond repair. The limit screw and the threads on the derailleur itself are “stripped.” This was the first tune-up since I bought the bike last April so it must have been stripped when I received the bike. I have to replace the derailleur and it is very costly. 2) TPC’s inspection and certification program was an important selling point for me but, as the tune-up revealed, the handle bars were installed wrong. They’ve got the break cables all twisted up and the hood is also all twisted around on bar. When I started to ride this spring, I had repeated punctures both in front and back and ended up having to replace both of the tires. 3) I have about $700-800 in labor and parts to get the bike back on the road. I contacted TPC but they are not willing to do anything to fix this situation. If the bike is not returned within 30 days, they praise themselves and go on selling lemons.

"I am disappointed with the bike I…"

I am disappointed with the bike I purchased from the Pro's Closet (2019 Yeti Turq SB100).

A couple of issues with the bike I purchased:

1. The rear wheel has 12 stress cracks where the spoke is attached to the rim. A friend of mine mentioned that that my rear wheel was wobbling all over the place, and I took it in to have it trued/inspected and they found the stress cracks and said the wheel is not safe to ride on. I contacted the Pro's closet about a replacement wheel and they said their inspection did not show anything on the original wheel on the bike
2. The rear shock was not serviced. I took the bike for my first ride and the rear shock bottomed out because there was no air in it. And I am only 130 lbs.

"Buy new- used bikes without a warranty not good"

Bought a $3k bike that developed cracks in the carbon frame. Trek would have replaced under warranty but TPC doesn’t retain original owners’ receipts. They should get that for such expensive items. Will not buy used again.

"Caution there is no exchange policy if…"

Caution there is no exchange policy if the product doesn’t fit. Also, if you do need to return something they will not give you a 100% refund. I hate to say this but you are better off buying on Amazon, or buy from your local shop where exchanges are not a hassle.

"Do not buy from The Pros Closet"

Do not buy from The Pros Closet. They are only in it for sales. Total disregard for customer needs.
