"Similar to other comments - received broken $5k bike"

Similar to other comments - received a certified pre owned bike for $5k with leaky shocks. got them repaired and they refused to reimburse. Certified pre owned does NOT mean they do the inspection as they state.

"The Junk Closet"

Bought a $2200 overpriced cannondale road bike, 3 months after I took delivery the headset froze up and started bleeding rust. Pro's Closet refused to consider repair, was adamant that it was not their problem and tried to blame the malfunction on the weather, of all things. Supposedly they do a "141 point inspection." Any legitimate inspection would have caught this issue before shipping. Don't buy from this junk closet.

"Wanted to covert a bike from a triple…"

Wanted to covert a bike from a triple crank to a double crank. Saw an ad for Pros Closet. I called and talked to a tech about the Sram crank they had on sale. Was told it should fit the bike. A few days later ordered the crank. When I received it the spindle look short so sent an email to them about this and got a response from Alex and I quote him "same shell width as a BB30 (what this crankset is). If you have the correct bottom bracket adapter in, it shouldn't cause an issue." That after noon ran by the local bike shop and picked up a BB30 bottom bracket. It did not fit even whit the BB30 the spindle was to short. The next day I asked for a return and received another email from Alex that it would not fit. Returned it and was charged $15.00 for return shipping. Not good business when told something would work by their experts and then it not. I will not shop them again!

"I wanted to make an offer on an 11 year…"

I wanted to make an offer on an 11 year old bicycle and was rudely told “prices are firm”. Matthew, who works there, is surly, rude and arrogant. I would avoid this company at all costs when purchasing your bike.

"It's the customer service & selection"

How can one ever find the "Right Bike" without this kind of constantly refreshed inventory?

There's a lot of parts on a bike. To think they can ship this stuff around without issue is amazing. To think that all these mechanics are "Pro's" and catching everything? Thats a lot to ask. But how they handle the problems, thats the real litmus test.

I have bought 5 bikes from TPC, and I have had to return two. One the dropouts were wasted so the rear wheel wouldn't stay put under torque. This was missed in their QC, but they took the bike back for a full refund and gave me a 10% discount on a new one.

Second bike was a mis-fitting gravel bike without adequate toe lap. They took it back without issue, including the shipping.

They have been very accessible to work with, and have come through for our family. Great bikes at 1/2 the price. I will buy from them again in the future.

"Great service but lacking quality control"

Recently bought 2 used rear shocks for 2 different bikes. Both arrived timely and looked like they were in good condition. Upon installation I discovered that the lockout did not work. This shows the shocks were dysfunctional. The service was timely and they took the shocks back no questions. I was still very disappointed that they don't seem to offer any additional benefits to buying used on eBay or pinkbike. There was clearly no testing or quality control of the used parts.

"Quality Bikes and Customer Service"

I bought a used Giant Road E-Bike from The Pro's Closet. It arrived in even better condition than I had expected based on the bargain price I paid. And even though the e-bike's battery key was lost, TPC's customer service support was quick to replace it.
All in all, I am very happy with my bike and feel very lucky to have found such a gem online with the help of The Pro's Closet.

"Catastrophe Averted..Almost"

A recent experience selling a high end ebike to TPC could have ended in disaster after my bike packed for shipping by a local bike ship was damaged in transit. Following some kind of impact while in route via FedEx the drive side dropout and derailleur hanger was pushed through the packing box resulting in major damage at the point where the dropout is molded into the carbon chain stay. As the LBS did not properly pad the rear triangle per TPC packing instructions FedEx refused an insurance claim. To make matters worse the bike frame was determined unsellable and the TPC offer I received withdrawn. A potential catastrophe for me now requiring I look to the LBS to accept responsibility. The Pro Closet associate I worked with gave me an option to sell them all salvageable components. Following a short negotiation about the parts value I accepted what I consider to be a fair offer leaving me to work out a separate deal with the LBS to reimburse me the cost of the damaged frame, a review of that ordeal will come later after it's resolved. In any case I had the most to lose in this situation and TPC dealt with me straight up. Under these unusual circumstances it could have turned out much worse and while I have issues with the third party yet to work out The Pro Closet came through for me.
