"One Star - Unprofessional Service and Poor Communication"

I am very surprised to see all the positive reviews here because my experience was anything but.

I was initially drawn to 4x4Tyres by their professional-looking website and high Trustpilot rating. However, my experience revealed serious issues with their service and communication.

After placing my order for tyres and fitting last week (and, of course, being promptly charged the full amount), I received no follow-up communication from 4x4. When I finally called them myself the day before my appointment, they couldn't provide basic order information and promised to call me back "in 5 minutes." Instead, five hours later (and less than 24 hours before my scheduled appointment!) I received an email informing me that my chosen garage was no longer in their network. They offered an alternative location on the other end of London, which would now mean a 3-hour round trip instead of my original 10-minute journey to a local garage.

Upon contacting phone support again, the staff showed little interest in resolving the issue. After arranging a new appointment, I had to send multiple written reminders and a voicemail to receive an appointment confirmation. When it finally arrived *the next day*, it was just a single frustrated line from customer support rather than a proper confirmation letter.

The final disappointment came when I arrived at the garage today - my tyres hadn't been delivered! The garage hadn't even been provided with 4x4's contact information, so I once again had to call the customer support line myself. Fortunately, the garage happened to have the required tyres in stock and effectively resolved the situation themselves. The 4x4 customer support person's response was a dismissive, insincere apology. 4x4 essentially had nothing to do with my problem’s resolution - I was just lucky with the garage they sent me to.

Despite their modern website and seemingly professional appearance, the actual service was amateur and disorganised. The staff demonstrated a complete lack of basic customer service skills, poor communication, and an inability to manage simple appointments. There was no attempt at proactive problem-solving at any stage of my interaction with them.

I strongly advise potential customers to look elsewhere. The positive reviews on this site do not reflect my experience at all, and I question their authenticity given the level of incompetence I encountered.
