"What an absolutely appalling company"

What an absolutely appalling company. I ordered a trailer wheel two weeks ago, it was in stock but the warehouse never shipped it. I’ve called them several times, I’ve emailed them ......all I get are excuses and an indignant response because I’ve got the audacity to complain about their atrocious service. I still have no wheel and they have had my money for over two weeks now. When they found out the warehouse had been sitting on it for 10 days - they could have at least send it on overnight delivery!!! But no - that would be good service.

Update - finally got though after 9 attempts - excuses excuses, not my fault, it’s tondu, then when I told him about my review he got irritable and hung up! My wheel was shipped yesterday.....they think? I can see me having to lodge a dispute with my credit card company to resolve this.
Update 3rd May - yet more inaccuracies. What an appalling way to respond to customers with feedback about real issues. Your other reviews support my experience and your attitude towards those reviews is pretty shocking too. Let’s hope you can turn this around before you go into administration - but I don’t think you have the appetite to face up to your short comings so I won’t hold my breath.
And yes, trustpilot is often the only way to draw attention to poor service - and there are a lot of you around these days!

"Shocking customer service when things go wrong"

I'm sure that in the most part things go by without a hitch. Sadly not in my experience.
I ordered a new part for a long reach hedge cutter. It didn't fit. I have gone back to the company several times by email and telephone with no response what-so-ever to retify the situation.

"Customer Service"

I am writing a review of my experience of this firm in the hope of eliciting a response to my repeated enquiries.

On October 14th I bought a Cobra hedge trimmer on their recommendation, as the one I wanted was unavailable. The telephone salesperson was very helpful and the trimmer arrived promptly. However, when I tried it out on my beech hedge, it proved to be grossly under-powered and unfit for purpose.

On October 17th I emailed requesting return and refund, which most firms would have readily agreed to. However, I received a reply stating "because it had been used there would be a 25% restocking fee". I don't know how I could have found out it was unsatisfactory without trying it out.

Since then, I have emailed four times and written to the firm's managing director, but all my approaches have been totally ignored.

I find this attitude to customer service quite extraordinary and it is something I have never previously encountered.

The unit has been meticulously cleaned and repacked and is ready to be sent back, but I find the refusal to agree to a full refund most disappointing.

May 3 2021:

It is perplexing that whilst many customers report excellent customer service, I seem to have been singled out to be totally ignored. Still no reply. I wonder why?

Original Message:- Watch out if you live in Scotland. They tell you to read their terms and conditions, invoice you, take your money and then refuse to deliver unless you pay their exorbitant Highland and Island charge. Adjusted :- Inline with their headline terms, the goods were ordered from the mainland and should have been delivered free to the mainland as advertised AND INVOICED. Their attempted after- charges are unfair to other traders and in any event were not applied at the point of sale.

In response to Mower and Spares reply:-

I thought the problem was down to badly trained staff, I can now see where the standards originate. It's particularly stupid for a company to publicly accuse a customer of blackmail. Basic understanding of contractual obligations is required. Take some free advice, shut up, check the contradictions in your advertised terms of business with your solicitor and don't manufacture any more stories.

Facts: Whatever your afterthoughts, excuses and mismanagement, your company INVOICE 39646 clearly stated 'Delivery Charge £ 0.00' The public rely upon fair comment on Trustpilot, I've given it. What you are doing is unfair to honest competitor's and if you continue, I'll take it up with trading standards.
