"Be careful with ITSTechnologies."
Be careful with ITSTechnologies.
I placed an order for 3x Pylontech US3000C batteries, brackets and cables from ITSTechnologies on 6th April, I paid a 10% deposit on the batteries as the batteries were out of stock but they were expected to be in stock in early June. I paid the full amount for the brackets and cables.
At the beginning of June I clicked on the View order button in the order confirmation email and it said there was a payment needed of £3029.40, which I paid.
I contacted ITSTechnologies to ask for an update and was told it would be late July. I was a little disappointed in the lack of communication but accepted the delay.
Today (13/6/22) I received an email from Jonathan Stross telling me that there was an outstanding balance of £342 and that it was due.
I queried if this was correct and not a scam and was told it was correct.
In this email there is only a reference to the shipment being due towards the end of July.
Here's the part where you need to be aware, their website is very misleading in my opinion.
If a website states that a delivery expected at a certain time then most reasonable people assume that the price that is advertised is the price that they will pay.
Nowhere on this page or at any other stage of the payment process does it state that you may be required to pay more than you agreed to.
It is even questionable as to whether it is legal or not since the Consumer Rights Act 2015 states that one of the things a seller must provide certain information on is pricing, it states:
total price of the goods, services or digital content, including taxes. If the price cannot be worked out in advance you must be given the method of calculation
Even a delay in arrival doesn't normally mean an increase in price.
What concerned me the most is that when I raised the question of whether this would be the only extra charge Jonathan Stross failed to answer it.
ITSTechnologies have cancelled the order because they have no intention of providing the goods and honouring the sale.

"Seasonal patchy communication but otherwise great"
I placed an order at the beginning of March for batteries and paid in full straight away. The ETA for them was 18th April but I received them in May. I had tried to make contact by email for an update in between but did not receive any more than automated replies saying they were busy for several weeks. I also tried phoning daily but they had an automated message saying that they couldn't take calls due to how busy they were. In the end I was contacted with an update that my two orders had come in stock. Communication was polite and despatch was quick once back in stock. I could not give full stars due to the radio silence but I would return for further custom.

"No Issues for me"
I bought some Enphase equipment from ITS in March, they gave an estimated delivery of 5 days, but the package came the next day. Everything that I wanted arrived and it all worked fine.
