"Scam ? Stole money never got back despite chasing!!!"

I bought a wine experience for 29 last year at Hampton court palace good food show I've chased twice with no reply. Very concerned that they are fraudulent. Went back to Hampton court for the festival this year and they reduced there price to £19! It seems too good to be true and it is. I asked to have someone contact me when I saw them again this year at the good food festival the lady didn't seem surprised I hadn't been contacted. She promised I'd get a call today and I haven't - shocking they've just stolen my money.

"Liars!"

We purchased a voucher at a market for a wine tasting - £19 - 3 years ago.

The seller said it didn't have any time limit - and strike the "valid for 6 months" line

We managed to keep in touch with them and they replied it was too late to use it!

Liars! Don't bother buying anything from them!

"Rabat og fragtfri levering efter at have kørt forgæves."

Blev kontaktet af sælger efter at have kørt 150 km forgæves.
Fik rabat på det vin vi købte og det blev sendt fragtfri.
Håber at de fremover vil opdatere deres hjemmeside så man bedre kan se om der er åbent, og gøre opmærksomt på at det IKKE er en butik med åbningstider men at man skal kontakte dem og få en aftale hvis man vil købe vin.

"Don't bother chasing them"

Purchased a voucher at a food festival, together with a bonus one to use as a 'gift' and had initial telephone contact but was unable to commit to a date at that stage. Tried emailing the company several times to make the booking but absolutely no response from a human, just an automated response asking for order details (I didn't even get that the last couple of times I tried) and no contact number on their website or voucher. Looking through this feedback I feel I have had a lucky escape and have simply chosen to have a nice evening with friends in DIY style and will not embarrass myself giving the 'gift' to someone else.

"I bought my friends a home wine tasting - waste of money"

I bought my friends a home wine tasting as a gift and booked for 6pm tonight. No problem they said, we'll be there. It's now 7.40pm and there is no sign of them and no way of contacting them to find out where they are.
Having read the other reviews and the awful experiences I am not optimistic of ever getting them to come around.

"Not what we first expected"

We bought this home wine tasting experience since we have a baby and young daughter so can't go out often. We thought we'd invite a couple of friends round so we could have a fun night in. Once we bought the voucher, the guy explained a bit more about the format of the evening and how we'd be able to buy any of the wines we tried and liked...The penny dropped, we'd just paid £20 (supposedly instead of £70) to invite a sales man into our house! It's basically a try before you buy event at home. I never try samples in supermarkets etc because I feel bad about not buying them!

We decided we'd try and enjoy the evening anyway and were open to buying a couple of bottles if we found something we liked. We offered to buy a couple of bottles but we could only buy by the case, which would have cost hundreds and we had no intentions of buying a case - we'd only bought the experience in the first place because it was cheap, we're not well off, don't drink wine often and don't have a 'wine budget'!

I felt terrible afterwards, especially after reading reviews of the company as an employer, the poor man is working on commission and made nothing out of our evening. In my opinion the experience is mis-marketed - it's not really a wine tasting experience, it's a home selling event. He did explain about the wine making process and the difference between fine wine and supermarket wine (really just a sales tactic though) but it was hard to relax and enjoy it because we all knew we'd have to decline to buy at the end which was very awkward and embarrassing for all concerned. It would have been much more enjoyable if it was purely a wine tasting experience without the sales element. We did get a bottle of wine and I'd say the experience was worth the £20 but I wouldn't recommend it unless you are interested in learning about the wine you're intending to buy. We also bought another voucher for £1 to gift when we bought our voucher but we won't be giving it to anyone as we don't want them to feel the same way we did.

"I was given a 'wine tasting experience' …"

I was given a 'wine tasting experience' with Pieroth a couple of years ago, as a 60th birthday present. I enjoy wine, and was disappointed to discover I knew more than the 'host'! The evening was amateurish, and as others have said, turned into a selling event. The wines were expensive for the given quality - not that there was much offered to taste each of them. I suspect the guy had to pay for the wines used in the tasting. Bought a case as we felt obliged to.
I'm writing this now as I still get 'phone calls from them. Another today prompted me to write this, as I've asked them not to bother me any more. It's a (fairly pressured) sales operation. Treat it as such.

"Over-priced wine but a nice salesman."

These wines are very over-priced. One would have thought that with such a huge mark-up their tasting sample would have been more generous. After all a glass or two of wine loosenes both the toungue and the wallet.
My salesperson was a very personable young man and was not at all pushy. My wife bought half a case because she liked him!!!!

"Hollow promise"

I reviewed this company recently, noting that their sales representative had tried to deceive my elderly uncle into buying wine at about £18 per bottle instead of the £6 suggested. I did receive one E.mail from the company stating the case was being looked at and of course the cursory reply via Trustpilot. I have had no other feedback, which would suggest that that their dubious approach to wine sales is considered acceptable
Due to their complete lack of concern for my uncles near miss I would strongly suggest you avoid Pieroth wines. It would appear that they can afford negative reviews, which I hope does not mean that other elderly people are being ripped off.
