I have purchased fishing rod and lures from them for quite amount of years now. I never had a problem before, but on my recent purchase on a fishing rod on 9/30/2024. It's a 180 degree turn from good experience buying to the worst buying experience that I have with them. I purchased a OTI jigging rod on 9/30, the next day email from them stating that my order is shipped out with a tracking number. Then I said to myself, it will be perfect timing because I have a fishing trip plan in Montauk, on the weekend. Because normally shipped a fishing rod from South New Jersey to Brooklyn, NY it only take 2-3days at most. Then Friday 10/4 came along the tracking number information didn't indication anything on delivery! So, I call TackleDirect customer service at 10:09am and I spoke to a customer service representative and he told me that USPS didn't update/delay the tracking information; the final thing that he told was that I should receive my rod by Saturday. Then the weekend have past and no rod delivery. Then I tracking my order again, on USPS website and there no delivery information except stating that "package received, package acceptance, pending". So, I call TackleDirect customer service again 10/7. The customer service representative told me that my shipping order is being effect by the storm in Florida. My response to that is "what does that got to do with delivery from New Jersey to New York?" I told him that we are only one state away! There should be no effects on the delivery. The customer service representative just bull excuse. By 10/10 I still have Not received my order yet. So, I called TackleDirect customer service again to speak to a customer service representative and he was kind of rude towards me asking what happened to my order. He told me that my will get to me soon (9:27am), I told him that I have been hearing for more than a week already. Then I wait till noon and track the package again. Finally, USPS gave me tracking information about my package. USPS stated that they received the package on 10/9 @8:15am. Which means that TackleDirect never really shipped out my order at all and their customer service keeps giving bull sh×××t excuses and lie to me all this time of me waiting for a package that was never shipped out. Attention TackleDirect management team, you could check on my order to the corresponding dates that I call your store and spoke to your customer service representative to verified this matter! I would not recommend you to buy from them!

Bought a pole and reel on the website, on the check out menu after I had bought two day shipping shows it’ll b here that Friday it’s Tuesday. The next day I get a message saying your products aren’t in inventory and need a lead time of 7-10 extra days on top of the regular two day shipping I payed extra for, when I message them about the obvious confusion they tell me there’s a small print at the initial product menu saying some items may need additional lead time yet on the check out menu or any menu where I’m paying extra for shipping it showed it’ll b here by that Friday. Now it’s two weeks later I only have the reel not even the pole literally payed extra because I wanted to use it on a fishing trip this past weekend oh well ig, buyers beware there shipping dates are so wrong I would’ve just went to a local bait shop at this point and gotten a pole reel combo from them if it meant a little extra but I have my product in hand, all in all I wouldn’t use the website again and shady practice they got going on with the lead time not even mentioned in the check out menu anywhere it should or even at the menu where I’m paying go extra for shipping

I ordered a reel on 6/20 and there was a 7-14 business day wait on it, ok no problem. So business day 15 rolls around and I hear nothing back from them, I contacted them and asked about the order and the next day on business day 16, Kelly from cs said sorry its out of stock... WHY DOES IT TAKE 16 BUSINESS DAYS TO TELL ME THAT AN ITEM IS OUT OF STOCK???
