Be clear what you ask AL to do and read the terms of engagement carefully. I thought I was asking them to be executor for someone's estate. Without realising, I'd actually asked them to do much less. In hindsight, I think it would be reasonable to expect them to have summarised verbally what they would and wouldn't be doing, to avoid that.

On their work, after an initial flurry of activity, the silence became deafening. Responses and updates (months apart) had to be prised out of them.

All in all, I felt as if I was 'product' being processed, not a valued client, enjoying a service. As a result, it was more painful than I expected or than it need have been. They get 3 stars, as I sort of got there in the end but, on the basis of my experience, I can't recommend AL.

I've not named the individual(s) with whom I dealt, as it's clear to me that my disappointment is due to a corporate shortcoming, not one of those concerned.
