I highly recommend Spiritdog training! The Tackling Reactivity course is clear, thoughtfully arranged and thorough ! :-D Even though my current dog is not at all reactive, I am fascinated by dog psychology , behaviour and training and I completely loved the entire course!

"Hope for Overcoming Dog Reactivity Has Been Restored"

I purchased the Spirit Dog course entitled, Tackling Reactivity, specifically because my dog is a large breed and is VERY dog reactive which causes us both great anxiety and stress. He is highly trained and well behaved after having went to a six week board and train experience but that trainer is 3 hours round trip from our home so it’s not feasible to do regular training with them on dog reactivity. I was feeling hopeless and defeated that I would be able to find a trainer to help us overcome this and I felt I needed intense, one-on-one, in-person training that wasn’t available near my small town. Then I found the Spirit Dog course!! I was immediately impressed from the very first lesson and knew if I committed to following the guidance of the course we would eventually overcome this!! The pieces on management and training to change my dogs Conditioned Emotional Response (CER) made perfect sense!! I love that you can message them anytime and they encourage you to send in videos so you can get individualized feedback!! The combination of written word and videos through the course is helpful too!! My dog and I are just getting started (we did our first training session today and it was successful!!) and I have high hopes for a better life for both of us with less dog reactivity in our future!!

I have a newly adopted dog who is very reactive and suffering from severe separation anxiety. I bought Spirit Dog’s Rescue Package, and am SO IMPRESSED and pleased with the trainings and the results my new guy and I are achieving. Steffi and her team are excellent teachers. "Great course for reactive dogs!"

My 11-yr-old rescue dog and I have been through tons of training trying to calm his reactivity. He's such a great dog in the absence of triggers, but nothing we've tried (including three different in-person trainers and another online program) has helped much. The SpiritDog Reactivity course, though, has actually been working! I've been working with him on his reactivity to the sound of other dogs barking, and since I've begun the counterconditioning exercises, he's barking noticeably less. It really helps that there are trainers to answer your questions about your specific dog and situation.

It's amazing how much adding sniffing to exercises I had already tried with limited success has helped. The course is presented in a manner that's simple and easy to follow, without overwhelming you with too much information at once or leaving you wondering where to start. I'm super impressed and would highly recommend this course for others with reactive dogs!

"Glad I purchased all the content"

I am impressed with how responsive this company is. I have asked a few questions and got answers within 24 hours. My dog is responding very well to the training. I feel so much more in control. There is so much content! I am happy that I purchased the complete package. I love having different ideas about increasing my relationship with my dog. My puppy is very active, and there are so many ideas to help him be calm and obedient. It is so fun to see him progress and learn, I am looking forward to having a dog that will be welcome anywhere I take him.

"Reactivity to other reactive dogs"

I new about the counterconditioning training before, but the course gives more examples to try on. I also like, that the reads and the videos are short, so I am able to do the course during my work.
I wonder if my example would be interesting to mention. My dog is reactive to other dogs, especially small breeds and those, who barks at their fences. So we continued passing the fenced barking dogs in the neibourhood, keeping the distance and doing sniffing. Now my dog can pass these situations almost without paying attention to barking dogs behind the fence. I understand, it’s not the best option to use others reactive dogs for training.

This course is amazing. I've learned so much so far! My dog and I have made so much progress with his reactivity in just 2 weeks of starting this course. Knowing his threshold and using the snuffle mat have helped so much! I'm excited for his future!

"Two year old Border Collie"

I have a two year old Border Collie, which has been a pleasure to raise from the start. But this summer, just before she turned two, she suddenly started to react on every thing and nothing, barking at everything and notthing. Like she sees gosts or hear something that we do not hear. And she is also very reactiv in a happy way when visitors turns up at our door. I would say crazy. I am determined that my second border collie would be a very tranquille dog, but now she is far from that. After following a few courses we already see changes in her mind and behavier, and I am so pleased to see that we do not need to work very hard on her to calm her down, just by using the sniffing trix.
