"Unprofessional Engineer & passive aggressive"

Follow up 29th Nov 2024. Having had a member of the Senior Management Team out to review and discuss the event that happened, I am happy they are serious about ensuring their staff uphold the standards expected. However it is disappointing that this occurred, especially over a mask.

I had a Coral Engineer out to do some remedial work. I asked if he was happy to wear a mask (provided by myself) while inside the property; his response, ‘not really, but’. I explained that a vulnerable person lives at the property and we are still doing the surgical mask thing. If it is an issue then I can ask for someone else to be sent. ‘No its fine, go on’, was his response. Coral have been aware of their being a vulnerable elderly resident at the property since the quote stage and that I have requested all to wear masks.

He popped to his Van but when he returned he had swapped the surgical mask for his snood. I asked if he could put the surgical mask back on as the snood is not as safe. You can see straight through a snood, you cant a surgical mask.

He refused because apparently he wouldn’t be able to breathe with it on as it would fog up his glasses. He just entered a warm property from outside where it was 2C; they will fog up! Wipe them down maybe? I told the Engineer that if there is an issue with him having to wear a mask then it will be best to have another engineer come out, as I cant risk my parents’ health.

He then passive aggressively went on a rant saying; ‘tell you what, I wont wear my glasses, I wont wear any of that, f#*k me, I’ll just try and do it blind, its alright’. During this rant, he threw is hat, snood, and glasses on the floor! Due to his attitude I asked him to leave. He replied, ‘no its fine, no its fine’ (regarding his willingness to now wear the mask). I had to tell him several times to leave. I don’t think I have ever had a Contractor behave in such a foul manner towards me. This was an experienced Coral Engineer as he was out working on his own, in a Coral branded Van.

This also takes me back to the quoting stage with Coral and their Surveyor. When I asked him if he was ok to wear a mask while inside the property, his response was ‘If I have to’ but with a very blunt tone.

I personally would not want one of their employees to become passive aggressive with me, within my own home.

"Stunning Conservatory "

I had my Conservatory built by Coral Windows some time ago . I live in the North East but so glad I chose Coral
.They came out today as I had a leak in conservatory the company who the insurance company sent said I needed a new roof and they did not even climb a ladder to have a look . Martin from Coral Windows came today showed me the problem which was not the conservatory roof and he sorted it any way . What a star ! what a great company I highly recommend Coral Windows

The product is superior in every way and considering we have had 29 doors/windows/french windows so very pleased with it. Fitters arrived on time and have we not seen workmen so fast and efficient. They never seemed to stop and were so friendly and polite - top blokes all three of them definately employees of the month

It's a very nice Door, overall very pleased with it, just a few niggles but there customer service was excellent and sorted everything out, I would recommend Coral Windows and Doors.

The surveyor and fitters did their jobs with care.
They fitters always took their shoes off at the door.
They continued measuring continuously throughout fitting the frames.
They finished their work by sealing and cleaning the windows well.
Hope to see those fitters again soon.
