"AVOID Pass Me Fast – Scam Tactics and Horrible Service"

I paid Pass Me Fast £1,400 upfront on March 10 for 15 hours of lessons, expecting a professional service. Instead, I dealt with an abusive instructor, extra hidden costs, and months of poor customer service. Despite tolerating horrible lessons, the company is now refusing to refund the full amount I’m owed, trying to scam me out of £709. I strongly urge others to avoid this company. Below is a detailed timeline of my experience.

March 10, 2024:

• Payment: I paid Pass Me Fast £1,400 for 15 hours of driving lessons, expecting a smooth and professional service as advertised on their website.

May 6-11, 2024:

• Lesson Dates: I attended 5.5 hours of lessons with an extremely confrontational instructor who made the entire experience stressful and unbearable. On May 9, the instructor even took me to a fried chicken shop in North London for his lunch break, which I was charged £90/hour for. This is completely unacceptable.
• Refund Request: After the third session, where I had to walk out due to the instructor’s abusive behavior, I requested a refund for the remaining 9.5 hours.

May 15-June 26, 2024:

• Follow-ups: I sent multiple follow-up emails (on May 15, May 16, June 4, and June 26) to get an update on my refund, but received no meaningful response. Their customer service was slow and unhelpful.

July 8, 2024:

• Phone Request: Instead of resolving the issue via email, Pass Me Fast insisted I discuss the matter over the phone, which only caused further delays.

July 8-23, 2024:

• False Claims by Instructor: The instructor falsely claimed that I used 12 hours of lessons, but I only used 5.5 hours, including time spent on his lunch break! He also charged me for a “late notice cancellation” when I walked out of a session due to his abusive behavior. Charging me for this is completely absurd.
• Scam Behavior: The instructor booked two separate 6-hour lessons that never actually happened. Instead of resolving this, Pass Me Fast expected me to contact the instructor directly, even though he had scammed both me and the company. This is their responsibility to fix, not mine.

August 21, 2024:

• Escalation: After receiving no resolution, I informed Pass Me Fast that I would pursue a chargeback and consider legal action. They refused to acknowledge their responsibility or provide the refund I was owed.

August 23, 2024:

• Refusal to Take Responsibility: The company continued to side with the instructor, who had already scammed us both. They insisted that I deal with him directly instead of resolving the issue themselves.

September 4, 2024:

• Partial Refund Offer: After months of back and forth, Pass Me Fast offered a mere £177.50 for 3.5 hours of unused lessons, far less than the £886 I requested for the 9.5 hours I didn’t use. Despite the fact that even the 5.5 hours I completed were horrible, I was being generous by only asking for a refund for the unused time. Now, they are trying to scam me out of £709, which I can’t afford to lose.

Final Thoughts:

Pass Me Fast is an unprofessional company that fails to deliver on its promises. They are unresponsive, side with scammy instructors, and are trying to defraud customers. I paid £1,400 in good faith and have been left with nothing but frustration. If you’re looking for driving lessons, avoid this company at all costs.

My Pass Me Fast instructor David Rawlins is simply the best teacher! He is patient and calm and never loses his temper, he is kind when you make mistakes and he's so funny, which takes the pressure off when you're anxious, all whilst being extremely present and focused.

He is very experienced with new drivers, always ready to save you if you're heading off course. I would highly recommend David and Pass Me Fast.

I can say it again and again that my instructor Steve Darwin is a very good instructor and perfect in teaching anyone in driving. He will break everything about driving down to you.
