If I could give 0 stars I would, we booked through FlySharp to fly with Etihad, flights were cancelled due to covid. Etihads company policy is to Refund us and it states on the website. FlySharp have said Etihad have refused the refund, I’ve been back and to between Etihad and Flysharp, Etihad have said 100% refund and FlySharp said 100% no refund. Bunch of stupid cu*ts, I’ll have to claim on the credit card

This has been an unwelcome exercise to be honest but in the end Flysharp kept their word ,it has all been a lesson to me that saving £50 on a flight may well be not what I will do in the future, but I do thank them for repaying monies due to me
I just read Flysharp’s reply and fully understand that angle ,everyone is having tough times now and as I implied in my original report that I may not go for the cheapest cost it has come to light now that booking direct airline has its own problems too ,I speak Thai airways,so in conclusion this buying of flight tickets is or can be a problem if the world turns upside down as it is now , I do understand how a business does run , I have one , it’s the feeling one gets if no one is listening that can be a problem

I had a problem with my ticket as I could not travel due to pandemic.
I was told that I might be able to claim the taxes back. After around three months nothing happen, so I rang FLYSHARP and spoke to an agent called AJAY. He listened to my problem and said leave it with me, I will see if I can continue the same ticket to another date. Ajay went out of his way and did everything he could , and next day I got an e-mail to say he had sorted it out for at no additional cost. This man is a star and needs a promotion, I wish everybody was like him.

"Used Flysharp for Emirates tickets for…"

Used Flysharp for Emirates tickets for a flight last year. The transaction was so smooth that I used them again for a flight this year, which was cancelled due to the current Covid situation. I have been frustrated due to the whole situation we find ourselves in. Getting a refund wasn’t the easiest, though these are very busy times for the travel industry. Flysharp only ever responded to my contact with information that was correct according to the Emirates website also. I wasn’t too impressed that they tried a 10% admin fee, but they are no longer doing this and I have been refunded. Would I use them again? If I recieved the same resolution to anoher unfortunate situation we find ourselves in then yes, I would. Their flight prices are very competitive and outside of the awful situation we find ourselves in, they were very easy to book cheap flights with.

"One of the most horrendous companies…"

One of the most horrendous companies i've encountered.

This company doesn't even deserve one star. I had flights cancelled obviously due to the covid-19 crisis. Not only did they not notify me of the cancelation but they refused to refund me the money I was owed. Initially after multiple emails and phone calls I was told that the airline are not offering a refund so they will give us a credit note with flysharp to redeem within 12 months. Unhappy with this decision I phoned the airline directly for confirmation who informed me that they had issued a full money refund to flysharp with the intention of this being refunded to myself. I asked the airline why they did not just refund me directly and they stated that it would have been their first option but flysharp had hidden my contact details and credit card details from them, meaning it had to bounce back to flysharp.

I called flysharp immediately and told them this to which they then changed their story that they 'can' actually offer us a full cash refund but with a £110 administration fee to get this from the airline. Despite telling them that I have proof from the airline that they have all the money so don't need to 'chase' they said that the admin fee is in the Terms and Conditions and I need to accept it.

Me and my parter decided to accept the £110 loss as the ticket prices were £1100 and we wanted the bulk of the money back so this took 14 working days to come back to my account. I then noticed they had changed their admin fee on the coronavirus terms on conditions to voiding the fee for everyone. I called back and managed to get back the £110 after arguing with the agent.

The agents were so rude and refused to send me an email confirmation of my refund and told me to 'trust their word'. I found this strange so recorded any other conversations with them. I told them I was recording them to start with, for legal reasons to which they got defensive and irritated, responding with "well we are recording you too" without legally notifying me of this at the start of the conversation, but half way through when I reiterated I was recording them as they are contradicting themselves.

Please please avoid this company they are horrendous and try every loop hole to avoid giving you back any money. Anyone who did the same as me and just accepted the admin fee, you are eligible to claim this back from them, it states on their current terms and conditions so do call them now and request this!

"Very difficult to get a refund"

Very difficult to get a refund after coronavirus cancelled our flights. Tried charging me £75 “admin fee” per person! After a lot of arguing they eventually waived their fees and I got the refund but overall not a good experience at all.

"Awful Company"

Awful Company. Both myself and my partner regret not going direct.
In mid to late March South Africa closed their borders and the UK government advised against all but essential travel. We called FlySharp to get their advice on what our steps were and they advised that we could get a credit note and potentially a full refund. We asked if the credit note would be for Emirates or FlySharp. Devesh advised it would be through Emirates. We thanked him, advised our preference would be a full refund, and said we would wait and see what happens. That evening we recieved an email from Devesh confirming that they would seek to obtain a refund from Emirates with the hope of getting money. However at the end of the email it stated that they would be attempting to get a credit note. They advised it would take 2 to 3 weeks.
A week later, we recieved confirmation from Emirates that our flight was cancelled. We heard nothing from FlySharp, who we had expected to contact us to discuss our options and the next steps. We called again, spoke with Devesh who confirmed a refund had been requested and that they needed more time. He confirmed that if we did go for a credit note it would be with Emirates. We advised that we would prefer the full refund. Devesh said it would take 2 to 3 weeks from when it was processed. He then tried to guilt us for calling my saying that at that time he was trying to help people who were stuck abroad.
This was late March, early April. We decided to wait as requested. We then called again, after hearing nothing for a month and could not get through to Devesh. We tried another number from the website and spoke with Stuart.
We asked Stuart about the status of our refund. He attempted to persuade us to accept a credit note, advising that we could book with them for up to a year. We asked who the credit note was through, as we had previously been told it would be with Emirates. He then advised that the credit note was with FlySharp. We politely decline, and said we wanted the refund that we had previously requested. He then advised that the refund had not been requested and that he could do it now for us if we paid an admin fee. We were of course shocked as Devesh had informed us that the refund was being processed and we just needed to wait. Stuart explained that there was no one in the office to process the refund as they had all left to work from home the day after we originally requested. This is quite strange as Devesh had told us, a week after we requested the refund, that is was in progress. We queried the admin fee and was told it was because we were cancelling. We advised we hadn't cancelled, Emirates had, and that it wasn't our choice. Stuart repeatedly spoke over us and insisted we were cancelling the credit note.
He advised that if we were willing to pay the fee, they could have the money with us in 3 days. That they'd use their own money and then get it back from the airline after. We told Stuart we would call back shortly as we needed to discuss our options.
We called back, the same day and advised that they could take the refund from our balance and give us the remaining amount. He advised it would be paid to the card we used within 3 working days.
A week later, we still hadn't received anything. We called, spoke with Stuart again, and queried where our money was. He seemed to have forgotten that he advised they would pay us from their own money and insisted that they had to wait for the airline. He said it was taking longer that expected, and to wait 2 weeks. He then stated that if it took any longer the administration charge would be removed. We accepted, and confirmed that we should expect our money on the 10th May or the administration charge would be removed. Stuart agreed.
We are still waiting. Both myself and my partner are exceptionally disappointed with the service, the lies and the general lack of care. It seems that the agents are just making up things on the spot. DO NOT USE.
