Our recent private tour - September 2024 to Scotland with Luxury Scotland Tours was one of the very best tours we have gone on and we have traveled extensively. Alan and his team really listened to us to design a tour that was perfect in the pace, the flexibility, the accommodations and sights. A lot of what we are came from this country and they showed it to us. We specifically wanted a focus on the coast and they built in some great day boat tours. In one we saw three whale species from a Zodiac, and, in another, they also set a day up for us to have a private Falcon tour in which a fifteen pound Bald Eagle flew in from the shore, landed on my arm, grabbed a piece of meat from my (gloved) hand and stared me in the eye. It was one of the most amazing experiences we’ve ever have ever had. The private guides were especially excellent and we had great conversations as we toured. We recommend them highly - I just wish they covered more areas than the British Isles.

We had the privilege of finding Luxury Scotland Tours and having them assist us in planning the trip of a lifetime (so far!). I thoroughly enjoyed the detailed planning of the details of the trip, and incorporating their educated suggestions into our limited plan.
The hotel suggestions were stellar... I am still in a glow from them. The itinerary was perfect, and perfectly laid out in their photographic and description portfolio we received (via email) prior to the trip.

For a tour company to get our repeat business, they have to be exceptional. Luxury Scotland Tours is exceptional! In July 2022 my husband and I took our first tour with Luxury Tours, and in July-August 2024 we took our second.

Luxury Scotland Tours makes the planning easy. My husband and I looked at some of the readily available tours and then worked with Helen Kidd to create our own personalized itinerary. What an incredible adventure! We went on a walking tour of Edinburgh with our own Blue Badge guide, enjoyed afternoon tea at The Dome, fed reindeer in Cairngorms National Park, participated in a falconry experience, watched the Kelpies change color at night, visited magnificent castles (Edinburgh, Stirling, and Culzean), visited beautiful lighthouses (Portmahomack and Chanonry), visited scenic Glencoe, played golf (Castle Stuart and Dundonald), and so much more.

Helen paired us with a wonderful driver, Craig Donald. He was so likable, knowledgeable, and professional on our first trip that we asked for him on our second trip as well.

Helen and her associates worked hard to make sure our vacation was everything we had hoped it would be and it was. We highly recommend Luxury Scotland Tours!

"Best of Scotland"

In a nutshell, the whole trip was a six out of five. Everything went exactly according to plan and all hotels and restaurants were fabulous. Gary, our fabulous driver, was a stupendous guide with his knowledge, flexibility, kindness, humor and the way he would anticipate and change the itinerary according to the weather. He was a real walking encyclopedia and just as importantly, an excellent driver!
Everything was a highlight, but the highlight of the highlights was Edinburgh, Saint Andrews. Highland night, Cawdor Castle, Eileen Donan Castle, Portree. Our favorite hotels were the Fonab Castle hotel, the Cuillin Hills and the Isle of Ericka Hotel. Concerning the guides, Fiona and Gordon were very knowledgeable and pleasant.
And many, many thanks for your glasses of champagne to celebrate Martine’s birthday at Cromlix, a very thoughtful gesture, it was most appreciated.
Altogether, a memorable trip that was very well planned and executed. We have already and will continue to recommend Luxury Scotland Tours. When we plan our Scotland golf trip, we will of course ask you to organize this for us.

This was out 2nd trip with Luxury Scotland in 2 years. The first time was so magical that we jut couldn't wait to return! Just as we experienced with our first trip, the services, care and attention to detail during the planning of our trip was second to none. And this time around, we were a little more opinionated about what we wanted to do and where we wanted to go. Luxury Scotland handled it with grace and made sure that we had the exact holiday that we wanted. This time, our favorite things (beyond the scotch tours - they will always be my husband's favorite) were the personal walking tours. We had such a good time with Cath in Inverness, Verity in St. Andrews and Annie in Braemar. Thanks for letting us see your beautiful country through your eyes!

We cannot say enough about Luxury Scotland Tours and our agent Rebecca. From start to finish, a phenomenal group of people, places and sights as we toured Scotland and Ireland for 15 days. Our driver in Scotland, Gary, was witty, funny and full of knowledge (and surprises!) throughout our week+ with him. The lodging choices were superb, with The Balmoral (Edinburgh), Culloden Estate (Belfast) and The Merrion (Dublin) ranking among the top. Our party of 4 enjoyed seeing all the sights from historical basis to distilleries/bars/pubs to Outlander and Harry Potter themed stops and everything in between. We would very, very highly recommend this company for their knowledge of properties, fantastic staff and overall guidance to their customers.

Luxury Scotland Tours are a wonderful company to deal with. Amy and Alasdair were so great to deal with. They were knowledgeable, organized, flexible and ever so patient with the group to develop an itinerary just for us. Everything that was planned went off seamlessly. It was just as they said it would be and their suggestions, accommodations and tours were terrific. We had just a great trip to Scotland. Our driver Bill was wonderful . He was fun, friendly, knowledgeable and so patient with the group.

"We enjoyed our bespoke tour of Ireland"

We enjoyed our bespoke tour of Ireland, Northern Ireland, and Scotland. Over the course of 17 days, our three person tour relaxed in well appointed luxury, while never worrying about tickets, reservations, parking, or other travel hassles.

While creating our trip, our travel coordinator Alan, really worked-out an itinerary for our personal interests. We felt like our trip highlighted EXACTLY what we wanted--not wasting time on a standard bus tour.

Our drivers were first rate. Helpful, funny, and full of terrific information, we couldn't have asked for better. Martin in Ireland/ Northern Ireland, and Bruce in Scotland were the best.
