I cannot recommend Trust deed Scotland and Jacqui Richardson enough. Jacqui was amazing and kept in regular contact. It’s really tough to accept your situation at times and for me I was embarrassed by my situation but Jacqui made me feel so at ease, she was very patient and reassuring and we got everything sorted within an hours call and offer the next day that I could afford. The only thing I wish was different is that I had that call a year ago.

As a high earner my family and friends all seen me as having loads of money and I was always the one paying the meals and treating everyone. Reality was that my cost of living and as a single parent was enormous and I didn’t have the available spending money everyone assumed I had. After a few years this caught up with me massively, I had loans and credit card bills that were killing me, inflation was going up and the amounts were not going down. I had eaten through all my savings just to survive month to month and I knew I couldn’t continue. I wasn’t sleeping, I felt constantly tortured with worry, I was selling clothes on Vinted just to try get some money to pay bills. The pressure and stress was making me unwell but I am a high earner how am I in this mess? How can I get help? But eventually I sent a quick form to Trust deed Scotland who sent me a text message agreeing to call. I spent one hour on the phone with Jacqui Richardson who made me feel at ease instantly. At no point did I feel ashamed or asked any uncomfortable questions, we talked about my debt and what options were available to me. The next day I had an offer that I agreed I could afford to pay and I cancelled my direct debits and that was it. The instant feeling of release was incredible. I am no longer waking up scared to look at my phone for the dreaded message alert from the bank saying your account is overdrawn. I now have a monthly payment I can afford. I know I will struggle to get credit but if I need credit then I don’t need it is my new mantra. The power of being in control of my money is something I will never take for granted ever again. In 5 years I will be debt free, I will have paid by creditors back all they are due and I can move forward in a much healthier way.

Have been great all the way through the process from the start when Sharon was taking me through my options and getting me started, to Andrew helping when i was unsure how to set things up.
