"Stay away from NorthOne Bank"
As the owner of Buena Lu-Ray Inc., I rely on smooth financial services to run my business, and NorthOne has completely failed in this regard on multiple occasions. Twice now, without any clear explanation, my business account was suddenly locked under scrutiny. The first time, I thought it was some sort of mistake. But after the second time? I am convinced this is just how they operate—by randomly locking accounts and putting customers through an unnecessarily stressful and convoluted process to unlock them. I have provided multiple documents and clear explanation of very random transaction and my account was immediately closed.

NorthOne Ignores Fraud, Violates UCC & Mastercard Zero Liability Policy
NorthOne has completely failed to protect my account from fraudulent transactions and is blatantly violating banking regulations. I filed a dispute on December 18, 2024, and as of February 5, 2025, I have yet to receive any reputable update or provisional credit. Instead of handling fraud cases responsibly, NorthOne outsources all disputes to a third-party company, Galileo, and claims they have no insight into the dispute process or timeline.
Even more concerning, NorthOne openly states on its website that they do not issue provisional credit, which I don’t understand how they can legally get away with. This directly violates the Uniform Commercial Code (UCC) and Mastercard’s Zero Liability policy, which require financial institutions to protect customers from unauthorized transactions. By refusing to issue provisional credit, NorthOne is breaking industry standards and leaving customers financially stranded.
To make matters worse, my account has been accessed by an unauthorized party for weeks. Every time they log in, I get kicked out of my own account. Despite reporting this critical security issue, NorthOne has done absolutely nothing to fix it.
I have escalated my concerns to the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC), the FDIC, Mastercard, and NorthOne’s partner bank, The Bancorp Bank. These regulatory bodies need to hold NorthOne accountable for their failure to follow banking laws and consumer protection policies.
I also reached out directly to NorthOne’s founders, Eytan and Justin, but they have ignored my emails and taken no meaningful action. Rather than protecting their customers, NorthOne hides behind a third-party company, disregards consumer protection laws, and refuses to take fraud seriously.
If you value your money and financial security, avoid NorthOne at all costs. They do not abide by the UCC or Mastercard’s Zero Liability policy, do not properly investigate fraud, and refuse to issue provisional credit. This is the worst banking experience I’ve ever had, and I wouldn’t trust NorthOne with a single dollar.
