"AVOID at all cost!!"
AVOID at all cost!!! Micky mouse company that just want the 120.00 call out charge engineer will then make the job seem more of a problem than it is and then get the ‘office ‘ to call you and make up a silly amount to then charge you to fix!!!!! Do not use!!!!!!!!

"AVOID AT ALL COST"
If I could give zero stars, I would. Avoid this company at all costs. They charge a £120 call-out fee, which I was willing to pay, but when the technicians arrived, they immediately started complaining about the job being a "nightmare" and made it sound like it would require a lot of hard work. They used a camera to inspect the manhole and then claimed they couldn't do it with their current equipment. They said they needed another van with a special rod and that it would cost an additional £1300!
Naturally, I told them to get lost. Within an hour, I found another professional who came and cleared the blockage for £145 in just 30 minutes.
This company is either ripping customers off with exorbitant add on charges and exploiting those who panic and pay their outrageous prices, or their technicians are lying about the difficulty of the job to charge more and finish early as they know the customer won’t want the work done for that price. When I raised this issue with their office and followed up with an email, I got nothing but a dismissive response citing their "policy."
This company is a complete scam. Save your time and money and go elsewhere

"PM247 a very costly mistake."
Everything appeared to be fine initially although they were not able to send out a plumber on the day. However the work done was entirely unnecessary, did not solve the problem and cost over £800. They did come back once to rectify the work but did not diagnose the fault then either. They subsequently tried to charge for a call out fee when I refused the quotation of a further £300 plus, but backed down when I refused to pay. The company said that to rectify the fault would mean changing to a pressurised system and other changes which would cost £6000. Needless to say I did not accept this quotation. I have since employed another company who diagnosed the fault, a significant leak in the hot water system, did the work very satisfactorily in 2 and a half hours, and who commented that the valves and tap replaced by PM247 were of the cheapest quality. I know that I didn't have to accept the initial quote but when you are faced with a plumbing emergency on a Sunday sometimes you make a wrong decision.

"I had a landlord gas safety..."

"Charged my elderly neighbour £475…"
Charged my elderly neighbour £475 saying she had an airlock, but clearly a lie, she had a sticking ball valve. Provided no paperwork whatsoever refused to take a cheque, her friend had to take her to local building society to withdraw cash, whilst he stayed in her house awaiting her return. He claimed job took 2 hours.....for a sticky ball valve????
Reported to trading standards....avoid at all costs, they are happy to scam elderly people.

"Stay away. Overpriced & not transparent with costings"
The issue was reported with several complaint emails so they have all of the related information. They will still not acknowledge any wrong doing.
Quoted £120+VAT to unblock a drain. Before works commenced, called by company to say charge was now £596 as machinery was needed. Elderly customer felt jarrassed to pay, worried that the drain would get worse. Turns out, machinery was just jet wash!
Job complete in 10minutes!
Following complaint email, response was that as machinery was needed, the cost was higher & that engineer was onsite for 2hours (lie, was 10mins) & also no explanation why engineer poured fluid after the job, before leaving, all over elderly parents driveway.
Overpriced company, making £££ on what should have been a standard clear of a drain.
Will never use again! Lessons learnt.

"Read all the 1 star reviews"
Read all the 1 star reviews, these are the real ones. DO NOT USE PM247. We called them out to unblock a drain. If I’d read the reviews here first I wouldn’t have gone near them. We called (thinking that they would be equivalent to Dynarod). We were quoted £120 on the phone. A guy came around in shorts & tshirt with some old rods, had a go with the rods for about 5 minutes, did a performative phone call saying it was really bad and said it was too blocked and needed to use a jet machine + something called a molar machine but before he could we would need to call the office. I called & they quoted £595. I said no. They said let‘s see what we can do. They came back with £395. We should have just left it but as they were going to charge £140 for the call out (so don’t believe the if we can’t clear it you won’t pay promise) & the drain was really blocked I agreed. The guy that came around was waiting outside. He went to get the ‘jet machine’. Was outside for 5 more minutes, took a grate off which he said was the main problem, said it’s cleared. It was clearly a performance and if you read the rest of reviews re:blocked drains, the same thing happens. Compare this with a previous experience with Dynarod when 2 guys with all the proper equipment turned up, cleared the drain, and charged less than half that. It’s a scam, designed to get people who need something fixed urgently to part with their money.

"Stay clear of these merchants, they overcharged me by £370.00"
They overcharged me by £370.00, after already paying them for the job in advance as agreed £144.00 Including VAT.
We have had to go through the process of changing our bank details as these scammers tried to take more money from our account.
We have initiated a claim through the small claims court as they have even not had the balls to respond.
My office will be posting bad reviews on multi-platforms about our extremely, 'POOR EXPERIENCE' and their lack of response.
We presume they are Eastern or Asian people who do not understand the, 'Queens' English according to the, 'Oxford English Dictionary'

"Called them for a blocked kitchen drain…"
Called them for a blocked kitchen drain was quoted £120. They mad very little effort then said they needed to use a machine. Quoted £595 we did not accept, brought it down to £395. We stupidly paid, watched him use our garden hose and a rod to unblock it then later turned on the machine, clearly a total scam, do not use these rip off merchants. Beware.

"Dishonest overcharging"
I used PM247 in an emergency on 10.06.2024 to replace a broken connection to a water pipe in my kitchen. Had to turn my water supply off so needed it fixed quickly. Was initially told it would be a cost of £122 + VAT and cost of parts. Plumber arrived as promised and once he had looked at the job I was told PM247 would call me again with a final cost. Was phoned again and told the final cost would be £474 and I would have to pay up front, which I did (invoice number 90185) as by this time it was 7 pm in the evening and I needed my water back on. The total time the actual plumber was at my house including him having to go and get a part was 90 mins max(and I'm bring generous). I have no issue with the quality of the job done and the plumber. I appreciate this was an emergency call out but their charge is outrageous and that they were misleading about what I would be charged when I first called. £474 is nearly a weeks wage for me. I have no issue paying a fair price but i dont think it was. I would not recommend using this company, I feel they take advantage of people who are in a vulnerable situation by initially giving a reasonable price but then when they get in your home they tell you it will be 3 times the original quote and because customers need the job doing they agree. Not nice.
