I was referred to Rio Moving by my Real Estate agent after I purchased my home. Right from the first phone call I was impressed with the staff of this company. Jona handled my estimate and was very nice to work with in planning the details for my move. The crew of Jeramie and Chris far exceeded my expectations for my move on Thursday, October 03, 2024. The crew was very courteous and respectful during the move. They made the entire process very easy and handled my belongings with care and there was no damage. I will highly recommend them to my family and friends. Rio Moving should be very proud to have such a friendly and excellent crew working for them!!

Great crew, Rio Moving sent a father and son crew, Edward and Edward JR. They are the best! They showed up on time, we’re careful and costs came in under estimate. We are very satisfied.

The crew was awesome! They were all very pleasant. They showed up on time, and were very efficient and careful with our household items. Everything was wrapped, and they even put felt pads on the furniture legs so it wouldn't scratch our hardwood.

"Dishonest Business Practices "

This has to be one of the most unprofessional business transactions I’ve ever encountered. On September 14th, I was approved for my new home and promptly began searching for a moving service. I contacted Rio Moving and scheduled a move for September 30th. However, on September 29th, they reached out to reschedule to Thursday, which is a nightmare scenario for anyone familiar with the moving process and the potential fallout from property managers. They assured me they could stick to the original date, yet on September 30th, no movers showed up, and they made no attempt to contact me.

When I reached out, they suggested moving me on Wednesday, October 2nd. I insisted on an earlier date since they had already failed to honor our agreement. Finally, on October 1st, they promised movers at 5 PM. That time came and went without any communication from them. They then rescheduled for 8 PM, but once again, no one arrived. I was told 10 PM would be the latest. Yet again, there was no show and no contact.

On October 2nd, I called Rio Moving to find out what was going on. Shawn, the dispatcher, seemed completely unaware that my move hadn’t been completed. He claimed he needed to reach his mover, Robert, but couldn’t. After much effort, I finally connected with Robert, who assured me that Ronald would finish the job, which was now three days overdue. Ronald eventually contacted me after multiple attempts on my end, only to inform me he couldn’t help due to sudden family issues.

At this point, I had already hired another moving company to complete the job. Under no circumstances would I ever recommend doing business with this dishonest company. They epitomize unprofessionalism and can leave you in a dire situation. It’s clear they are likely understaffed but chose to mislead customers to secure sales, delaying services until they finally had workers available. Honesty should be fundamental in any business, and your money is better spent elsewhere. Beware!

"Hire them for the best moving services."

Rio Moving and their crew have helped me with three moving jobs so far. Biggest draw for me the first time around was the cost. Their rates are by far the best, even with mileage factored in. They are willing to travel to the Bay area as well! Carlos and his crew are careful, knowledgeable, professional, friendly, and easy to communicate with. They take extra care to avoid damage and keep safety in mind. They work efficiently and are flexible when it comes to changes in the moving plan. Carlos and his crew will be helping me again in mid October with a move. Don’t hesitate to give Rio Moving a call! You will not be disappointed!

Great company to work with! All the guys from the drivers to the packing/unloading crew on each end of the move were top notch. They truly are a group of professionals that take the time and pack everything right. We went from Fort Worth to Dallas and everything about the move was top tier, from communication, to a pretty much exact arrival time these guys were the best.

I highly recommend Rio Moving for any move. On short notice, after another moving company bailed on me and my family, Rio Moving took the job of moving us from Germantown MD to Henrico VA. The team was extremely professional, wrapped everything carefully, were extremely careful with our home, and kept us in the loop during the entire process. After moving such a big distance, there was no damage to any of our furniture!!! Hands down the best moving experience we have ever had!!!

I am disabled (I use a walker and sometimes a wheelchair) and was moving into my girlfriend & my first place together. We are members of the LGBTQ+ community, and were nervous about looking for movers who would be respectful of us. So it was twice as important to us to find the right people. The folks at Rio Moving are a class act. Kind, courteous, accommodating. They came in, moved swiftly and intentionally, and treated us as if we were any other paying customer, just as it should be. Asked if we wanted this cabinet centered here or that table moved an inch this way for spacing purposes. They said they work with designers and are mindful of aesthetics. In addition, they moved my beloved wheelchair, and were extremely careful with it. You can tell this is what they do, and they do it well. Thank you, Rio Moving for making the stressful process that is moving easy. Job VERY well done!

Incredible, gods amongst men truly. I have never been able to afford movers before. I’ve had to rely on my wonderful friends but omg is this a whole other experience. Two dudes knocked out a couch in 10 minutes that I’ve seen 4 friends take 2 hours with and remove a chunk of wall in the process (along with all will to continue existing for awhile). They were professional, efficient; hell they even put the bed frame together. Well worth every penny honestly. I will support y’all as long as you exist from here on out I’m your #1 fan. Thank you SO much.
