"I ordered a GT2 on 4th November"

I ordered a GT2 on 4th November. On 18th December they told me they were out of stock and canceled my order. Appalling way to run a company, such great scooters, such poor service.

"Der Service ist eine einzige Katastrophe"

Der Service ist eine einzige Lachnummer. Telefonisch überhaupt nicht zu erreichen, Mailantworten kommen teilweise vom spanischen Support (in Spanisch).
Es wird eine sog. Jobnr. vergeben auf die immer wieder verwiesen wird. Diese Nr. wird angelegt. Das war es dann. Seit Wochen tut sich nichts. Fragen werden nicht konkret beantwortet.
Am Ende wird eine Reparatur somit schlichtweg verweigert.
Leider musste ich einen Punkt geben, ansonsten wäre die Bewertung nicht möglich gewesen.

"Disappointed"

Bought an F40 from Best Buy they were advertising on sale. . Machine looks great in person and even better on paper. Then there is the real world. I go to drive it home its locked to 10km/h. In reality its 6km/h. Red flag I walk this speed and its not responding to accelerating, braking, its shutting off, cant maintain speed, smell wiring cooking. This was only trip without errors since i got machine. Lol. It has no front drum brake, never has. It uses an engine brake that you cant turn off and supposedly regenerates energy. Constant resistance. 3 km ride home was the most painful experience of my life but im optomistic. Unlocked will run fine.. Have to unlock with app. Had to bypass the scan code, it doesnt work, and download app direcly. It updates firmware and crashes halfway thru update? I take for first ride acceleration is great right up to 30 km/h. Amazing but that is where reality comes in crashing through the wall like the Kool Aid man when he took a took ninebot for a spin. The owner of the company also found out too late that using an engine as your primary brake is a mistake. When this is engine brake is controlled by simple electronics its deadly. Is this claim outrageous? No he went down a cliff on his segway when the engine controlled stoping mechanism failed. Lets move on. The rear brake is manual disc brake thank God. First ride I find out it cant go up hills. Overheats error 21. It cant even coast downhills. Shuts off again You cant even use it as a push scooter as no neutral and engine resistance. Update Luckily the regenertive braking module cooked itself so it is now more usable and no onger smells like ot will catch fire and detonate. I am getting 10 km range on full battery on flat terrain. thats 45 min ride time at 20km/h (really 15km/h). At top speed 30 km/h (really 20km/h) get about 8km range with 25 min ride time with error shut downs at that speed. If the machine didnt error out and you actually could go 30 km/hr. (really 20km/h) And were under 150lbs no hills.No stops The battery would be dead in 15 mins then take 6.5 hours charging and have range 5 km. It obvious why pushing the machine to 30km/h would drain battery too fast overheating electronics even 20km/h does this or even quickly accelerating or using engine brake. This has major design flaws the company still refuse to address. They could still turn this around. Regenerative braking is too complicated, dangerous and unnecassary in this application. Sounds good on paper tho. I have had unit a month rode it 4 times. I should stress out making it home from a store 3km away full battery. but 65% battery is actually point of no return. Turn around or you will be walking unit. That is why so many people claim range is higher. 65% and 5 km travelled and unit says 22 km remaining. I would assume I am gettimg 27 km range. Head home the 5km, why am I pushing unit last 0.5 km. The last 65% battery drop quicker than.... yep. In reality unit is getting 10 km range. Be honest address problems. You have to old lady drive this unit and be ready anytime to be bucked off or hard braking or no braking, plus bail if it overheats. Looks good. Fun for a toy.

"Scooter arrived broken. Customer support could care less."

I bought an F2 Pro last week. It arrived broken inside a broken box surrounded by broken packaging. The company so far have passed me back and forth without anyone being the least bit helpful. I wish to Christ I'd read the reviews here before spending $1500 with them.

"I am done wasting my money on their…"

I am done wasting my money on their products. I've bought there Segway ES4 electric scooter 3 times now. I must be insane for giving them this many chances.

The Segway ES4 could've been a reliable scooter but the design is absolutely flawed. The external battery will often fall off the scooter. The only way to stop this is to apply thread lock onto the screws when you screw it on but the problem with doing that is that the battery will still often give you error codes even after you tigten everything up.

I've cleaned the battery connector pins with electric parts cleaner and a tiny brush and that only helped it temporarily before eventually getting the same error code again.

It's worth mentioning that the battery will often fall off while you're riding and so the battery will hit the ground hard and get scratched up. And before it even comes off, it's likely that the battery connector pins were slowly getting bent as the battery slowly slides off.

So imagine thinking you just need to clean up the pins, and a little thread lock to fix your issue, alright you do all these things and then still end up with error codes and if you used thread lock, you now have to unscrew those which are difficult to get off and you run the risk of stripping the bolts due to how much force you'll need to get them off. I guess you could try applying some heat to the bolts while it's attached but we are dealing with a battery here and other electrical components so....

They're also often out of stock on parts. What good is it to have a scooter that will eventually need new parts if the company of said scooter rarely has the parts you need available. You end up having to risk your money on third-party parts off Amazon.

I'm just done with this company! A company that actually cares, an excellent company, would do something about the counltess negative reviews on this product but Segway hasn't so I guess they're anything but excellent.

If you want a better alternative, I recommend Turboant. I've bought their V8 electric scooter and paid around $200 more for it than the Segways junk and it's lasted me longer. I never have issues with my Turboant V8. The Turboant V8 is not only faster, but also more reliable and has a longer range than the Segway ES4. It costs a bit more than Segways ES4 but it's worth every penny. You end up paying more with Segway due to how often you have to replace the batteries.

"Just purchased a new Segway Ninebot C2…"

Just purchased a new Segway Ninebot C2 Lite for my kids birthday. As soon as we got it out of the box we realized one of the driving modes “power assist mode” was not working. I instantly asked for a return with a refund. Segway customer service instantly denied my claim because of the following reasons….i opened the box, I used it, they will lose money if I return it, and they pay too many taxes getting these products into the states. I am not kidding…these are the reasons why they refused to honor there return policy. Than the customer service agent attempted to lie and stat that the scooter only has two driving modes, all modes require manual throttle, and that I can fix the issue with a firmware update. All are were lies. The C2 lite does not even come with Bluetooth capabilities to connect to the Segway app. I have purchased from them before and this is the first time I had to contact customer service. I quickly realized that they offer zero customer service and do not honor a warranty or return policy. DO NOT BUY. If you do, just know that if your segway is defective or brakes down the road they will only offer you a repair. Go and read other people’s review about their repair experience with Segway. Some customers have waited over 10 MONTHS and never got there repaired items back. Others who did get their items repaired stated they received there items still broken except now they had missing screws. AGAIN DO NOT BUY SEGWAY PRODUCTS. They basically spit in their customers face.

"Cheap Products, Untrustworthy Company"

Do not buy anything from this company. My Air T15 model broke one month after I received it. I sent it back for repairs and they returned it broken in a different place. I requested a refund and they refused, but offered me a replacement model. Then they sent me a scooter that had clearly been used and damaged. I had to pay $100 of my own money to return it. Their Air T15 model is now suspiciously discontinued!

Their models are cheaply made and their customer service is exhausting and unhelpful. I’m out $500 and my issue is not resolved.

"Product Sold wasn"t in Stock In Warehouse"

I placed an order with Segway store on 11/29/24. I was given a shipping date of 12/06/2024. On 12/3/24 I checked the FedEx tracking number and saw that no progress had been made on shipping. I called the company and was told by two different employees that the item ordered was not in stock but it would be 2-3 days to "confirm" that. They couldn't tell me when my requested refund would occur. I asked to speak to a supervisor and was told they all were "busy" and that one would call me before close of Business that day. No one called. I'm going to seek options with the BBB and State Attorney General Office.
UPDATE: After this review was posted Segway suddenly found my merchandise in their warehouse and the FedEx tracking number showed revised delivery dates- 3 of them. When I called to ask for them to check with FedEx with the problem they had FedEx return the order to themselves! I was told they had made a mistake and until they received the order no refund could be issued and they didn't know when that would be. Then seven more days to process the refund. A child's Christmas gift ruined. DON"T Do BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY!

I would give 0 stars if possible!
Sent my scooter off for repair. Was returned 3 weeks later more broken than when initially sent ( initially charging fault, sent back alarming as soon as switched on). I have contacted Segway no less than 50 times since to try return the scooter and got nowhere. No1 replies to emails, repairs department phone number no longer in use. Customer services say they can’t do anything! Absolute joke of a company!

"Segway what a load of S**T ! "

Segway should change there name to No way ! Noway should you buy a scooter and Noway will they help you , scooter under warranty yes sir we will send it off to be fixed ! Thank you Segway ! 3 months later and after paying £60.70 to fix some part that wasn’t even faulty before sending I’ve now received the still faulty scooter and told to take it back to where we got it from and exchange it at our cost of time and petrol ! The store we brought it from has no replacements so Segway have ignored my emails and pleas for help , I’ve spoken to 5 different people all telling me different things and there repair company Enfinitec in the Netherlands are just as bad what a horrible , stupidly ran company I can’t wait for the “we are so sorry , this is not right “ email customer support who will investigate this ! Send me a new scooter you idiots, to my house ! You sent the faulty scooter back to me instead of the place I brought it , absolute morons every review is bad you should be ashamed Segway I will never purchase from you again and I won’t stop emailing complaining until my son has a fully working , operable scooter
