Staff at the Spar on Heol Llanishen Fach in Cardiff are always very helpful and friendly. Good deals and handy for essentials.

They most horribly managed inventory. My experience over the last 2 months has been that they cant deliver even half of the items in the order and sometimes the entire order is cancelled. Its like its run by a bunch of amatuers who don't understand that wasting customers time to place orders and then not fulfill those orders is how a company dies. I would not recommend ordering from spar.

"My little boy wanted a toy from Spar.."

My little boy wanted a toy from Spar.He has chosen crystals kit/some suspicious pink chemical looking like coloured sugar/It meant to be mixed with water and piece of rock to be submerged in that mix and “sparkling spines would grow in 3 days”...But nothing like that happened! Little boy-disappointed..After 3 days there was some mushy soft mixture around the stones..Waste of money!

Absolutely disgusting experience today at Spar Euro Garages Elstree Hill. The member of staff serving was not wearing her mask properly (her nose was uncovered) then she sneezed into her hand and passed me my receipt! No tissue/sanitizing. Given how busy this shop is its very concerning to see coronavirus rules and basic hygiene so casually disregarded. If this woman contracts the virus she could become a super spreader.

"Overly priced"

I've been to 4 spars.. 2 in my own city and 2 in another. Terrible customer service at all 4 stores. The staff talk to each other & gossip when they are serving you. It's very rude! Some of their products are priced ok, but most of it is overly priced. Such a RIP off.

"My local Spar is just awful"

My local Spar is just awful. Very cheap and nasty food at exorbitant prices. Who would pay £5 for a rack of ribs or £5 for a basic chilled pizza?
It never has modern, normal food. Just weird old fashioned and badly made cheap food. Management is appalling as stock maintenence is a joke. Always empty shelves, & yes this was before Covid. It's a scruffy unloved and never updated or remodelled. Terrible company.
