Unfriendly service and grossly overpriced products. What more can I say? Spar has always been, and probably always will be a shop that shamelessly sells products at prices that make you wince, frown and your eyes water when you see the pricetags on the shelves. I mean, £2 for a small jar of Hartley's strawberry jam when everywhere else is AT LEAST 50% less. That's just one example and it's shocking.

Hmm, what else? I might as well get it out of my system now... Ah yes, so I actually worked at this excuse of a shop a long time ago. Let me tell you, as an employee you get treated like a piece of s**t by those that are "higher up" than you are. There's no incentive given for working hard or progressing because the management and supervisors think they're part of higher society with more rights and think we that are just starting out are subpar, worthless scum. The management and higher powers in this company are tyrannical and purely vile.

I'm sick of seeing Spar shops popping up in local communities. They're like a f***ing cancer that spreads through communities and is hard to eradicate. They're not a convenience store; they're a rip off store. All they do is rip off local communities and they don't care.

Please boycott this cancerous company so that friendlier, customer focused and better priced shops can replace them and serve our communities better, like One Stop for example. Local people shouldn't have to feel guilty and bad because they've had to spend way more money than they should because this vile shop has taken over. Please, everyone band together to remove this scourge from existence.

I'm disappointed u spar really. I have 2 promo slips for this Bata shoes and I went to different stores to the get school shoes and all the stores I went to told me the same thing``they put of stock with the shoes and the warehouse don't have stock of shoes and all stores only got limited stock " i asked so what about my slip they told me if I don't get its a lost for me. I could've bought my stuff I needed at a other store but because of the promo I bought what I needed at spar now I can't get what the promo say.. My thing is this why let the promo stuff run when u out of stock with shoes? It's pandemic people don't have money to loose I would like to claim the shoes as the promo say I have my proof and the promo still running.

The spar in Coalville broomleys road is one of the worst convenience stores I’ve ever been in the staff are rude and make you feel like your a burden , the post office section you always have to wait . Female middle aged staff never smile , customer service skills nil

My local Spar, on Arundale Avenue, Hazel Grove, has not tried to benefit from the pandemic by putting prices up, unlike some major supermarkets, the staff are friendly and knowledgable and they keep the shelves fully stocked at any time.

Very very expensive I went to get a product today and they no longer sell it they should have a ticket saying they are being discontinued but they don't I bought stuff today out of the spar I got to the till I had 6 yes 6 items which all came to a whopping price of over £16 they want everyone to shop local how the can you shop local if this is the price your hit with at the till

"Convenience store!"

Convenience store! Well hardly. Products when delivered are always late in the day and staff give awful looks because someone wants to buy lunch. Fresh salad and fruit is no where to be seen until too late in the day. Basic products not available - cooking oil, eggs, mint sauce and tinned fruit to name but a few. Inconsistent with baby and toddler items like nappies and dummies - no shelf life required there. Not consistent with products and on enquiring told that they no longer sell it. Replaced by mega amounts of equally unwanted goods. Charged at the till different from the price on the shelf. Some of the staff are miserable and unfriendly. Plants during the summer not watered. Prices are much higher than other shops. Reputable red wine £10.99 but £6.29 at cost cutter. Milk goes 'off' before 'use by' date. Its located in a prime position for convenience but is abusing the local customers.

Staff not wearing a mask, not social distancing and indicated that the current situation (covid) "it's not that bad... haha"

I would have spoken to her manager straight away, but I just wanted to get the hell out of the shop asap.

"Vile behaviour"

Dosent even deserve 1 staff disgusting vile behaviour from their staff on Ovington drive Southport got told to fxxk off back to Liverpool called a cow and bxxtch by two members of staff. Threatening behaviour by the Indian woman who said the manager is her husband. That will explain why the Manager is not interested rang him couple of months ago and he did nothing over another Incident with these two. Waiting now for response from head office and owner of store. If no response then the press with be getting a call especially Liverpool paper
They also let in males with no masks but refused to serve an old lady who hadn't got hers
They are like a rash all over the men
This shop has gone down hill over the past couple of years. Well let's see if I hear anything back as now taking legal advice over their behaviour
Don't go in this shop if your from Liverpool they treat you like scum
