"I bought a house and the power kept…"
I bought a house and the power kept going off. I would call just energy and they told me it was on. I would check the breaker box and you could move the breakers and it would come back on. I decided to buy a new breaker box, I pulled the meter, I did not cut anything, it was loose and we put the new box in. I put the meter right back in. The following day, we had to take the meter back down for About 2 hours. About a week later I received a letter from oncor stating that I had tampered with the meter and stolen electricity. They sent me pictures along with an affidavit stating it was prims facie evidence of me stealing elecricty. They noted everything in the picture except the new breaker box that is plain as day. The letter stated they could charge me with 6 months electrical use. Now I only had power there for ,3 months. To my dismay I got s 922.00 bill with a shut off notice. I draw 771 a month. So I have gone Thanksgiving and Christmas without power. And get charged with a penalty of 30.00 and a 5.00 discnect notice fee and a 25 disconnect fee. Like this is really going to help by pushing me further in Dept. This is such s scam. I notice on my bill there is even an energy assist charge that they charged me for paying my bill. Do ever get enough blood to suck from one person? I will never use them again and still can't pay my bill

I've been a Just Energy customer for 7-8 years now under my wife's name. We're separating so I was going to continue service with them and just get an account under my name. Easy peasy lemon squeezy right? WRONG!!!!!! Right off the bat, they asked for a $275 deposit which really wasn't a big deal. I paid that no sweat and proceeded to get my account set up. I finished giving them all of the information they requested at the time and I hung up. Not even an hour later they called and left me a voicemail stating that they needed a photo copy of my ID and the first and last page of my rental agreement. I provided that info as well via email to their customer service department. Afterwards I called them to make sure they had everything they needed to cut my power on. She said they did so I hung up and went on my merry way. The next day I was notified again stating that they only had a partial picture of the first page of the rental agreement and they needed the entire page. Once again I complied and sent it to them. This was done way in advance to ensure my lights were going to be on when I moved in. Like a week and a half in advance. I arrived at the house I was moving into and lo and behold the electricity had not been turned on yet. Once again I'm on the phone calling their so called customer service trying to figure out what the problem is this time I was on hold for 2 hours (not joking!). The lady said that my lights weren't cut on yet because they were still waiting on a document to be sent to them still. I informed her that I sent it over a week ago!!!!! She did some investigating and sure enough, my email containing the necessary document was in the system. She apologized for the inconvenience and assured me that my power would be turned on today. I waited all day until 6:45 P.M. CST and called customer service once again (yes I'm a glutton for punishment) and she informed me that they still needed a document in order to turn my service on. I explained to her that I sent the necessary information over a week ago and verified that the information was received the day I sent it as well as today. At this point I totally lost my cool. I'm sitting in the dark because of stupid documents that shouldn't even be necessary to begin with! I then called Reliant Energy and they said they would have my power cut on first thing in the morning with (this is the best part) NO DEPOSIT!!!!!!! Why do I need to supply them with a hefty deposit and give them my first born son in order to receive electricity?!?! Screw them. Go somewhere else for your power needs. Worst customer service ever!!!!

I honestly wish I could give them no stars. I had them when I was at my apartment and then I bought a house and decided to just transfer services. When I moved into my house I had no light and couldn’t even stay in my new home! I called them & they said I had a $80 deposit which I was confused by because all I did was transfer services? & I was never late & was current on my payments. & no one ever told me I even had to pay a deposit in the first place. So I had to rent a room that day which costed me $70! and I came back the next day & I still didn’t have light! I called them & told them I needed the light to be on ASAP! The only reason I stayed at that point was because I needed to have light on in order to stay in my house. & if I would’ve went to a different provider I was worried it would’ve taken even longer. After that they finally turned it on about 2 hours later. Then I get a bill from my apartment which was normal for $136. Then I get another bill for $375 because they were charging me for my first house bill & also a $275 deposit! How does that make sense? So now they are saying I owe a little over $500. Needless to say I will never work with them again & I will tell everyone I know to stay far away from this company. I’m done with them & im glad I switched to txu.

Came home from work and power was shut off! Called multiple times with different answers and saying I was force out due to going to another provider and or someone using your identify when I never did and have to wait till Monday with no electricity

I had to give them a 1 rating but that was an overstatement! I have done business with Just Energy for over 9 years..I wrote a complaint a few months back because my bills were so high and they changed their policy about extensions on your bill. I was diagnosed with cancer and due to medical bills I run behind on my bill. They set it up where you couldn't get an extension but every so often. I got a message from Just Energy to contact them and they would see what they could do..I did they put me in another plan and told me they would work with me on my extensions. I was so happy I recanted my complaint publically to be fair..well here we go again..I called them they said they couldn't help me and then I found out they were charging me $20.00 when I did get an extension..I am sick of this company and as soon as I get out of my contract I am done!

I no longer have a account with them for about two years. And they keep calling me and leaving me voice mails to call concerning about my accounts. And I have no account with them. I remember a few years ago they came to my door and it sounds like a good deal at the time. But when I moved I had it all stopped but I guess whoever I talk to didn't not put it in their system. So, now they're bugging me!! I'm getting so sick of their calls!! I even put them on my block list but they call with different numbers.

Signed up with Just Energy here in California. They told me I would have a locked in rate, and that my gas bill would never be higher then through So Cal Gas. This is entirely untrue. My gas bill has now shot up to 150 a month. I live in a tiny 500 square ft mobile home. Yet my bill is higher then my parents whose home is 1200 sq ft.. long story short avoid this company at all costs. Their customer service is terrible as well!!

I still pay my bill through DTE. I had one larger bill and after that I have had months of credits and much lower bills for this time of the year (winter). I continually get Just Energy’s, competition trying to get or fool me to change to their service and I’m not changing. I hope the lower bills continue and is much appreciated.

I had received a notice that my electricity was shut off which I NEVER AUTHORIZED! now they are putting late fees because when I tried to pay my bill they said I had no acouunt
ABSOLUTELY OUTRAGEOUS
when I speak with them on the phone they can't explain my charges and when I requests a copy of my current bill it doesn't match what they telle I owe !

Went to sams they said just sign up and you’ll get the $70 gift card and you don’t even have to use us. Didn’t check bill until recently and PSEG quotes that I’ve over paid by $150+ over the last 3 months using them. I canceled through them then got a call today saying I would be charged $100 for cancellation. They’re complete liars and not trustworthy. Stay away.
