Would be 5 stars for handling of the case but I feel 20 working days is too long.

"Got there in the end"

Long wait for my irresponsible lending complaint but they worked on it.(first filed in January of this year)

A few hiccups along the way but received my redress today.

Accepted redress on 29th July, still early days yet but judging by other reviews, im not expecting the money to land in my account any time soon. Will update on how long it takes me to receive

Accepted redress on 22/07/2020, I'd paid my account off in 2016. My online account changed to - £5800 on Wednesday 05/08/2020, so was expecting payout. Had a phone call yesterday (07/08/2020) to say they can't transfer to a Monzo bank account. Gave them my Halifax account details... As yet no payment gone into the bank! How hard can it actually be??

Update 10/08/2020 Received my redress this evening... Few squeeky bum days but all ended well!!!

"Had loans since 2013"

I’ve had numerous loans since 2013 and struggled since then, especially when you’re in that vicious cycle.
I complained through a company at the start of the year and my complaint was partially upheld in mid July.
My guarantor declined the offer the next day, was told I would receive my offer before the 4th.
Have asked for an update but have had no reply.
My current loan with amigo was for £5500 taken out in early 2019, my payments are £240 pm and the balance is still £4700!
They upheld the lower amount loans but firmly believe all loans were unaffordable, so have referred it to FOS.
Amigo we’re not particularly helpful throughout any stage of the loans, even when wanting to pay less..
Update:
Still no offer of redress, even though my guarantor declined their offer nearly a month ago.
No contact or update at all.

"It has now been over 10 weeks since my…"

UPDATE: ACCEPTED REDRESS ON 10/08/2020 and just recieved full figure in my bank account! Extremely impressed with the efficiency once accepted. Happy days - have faith guys! 🤞🏼 It has now been over 10 weeks since my complaint was acknowledged. The loan is paid off so I do not understand why it is taking so long. I have been extremely patient but am hoping I will hear back soon?! I emailed a few days ago and got a response saying my complaint is yet to be investigated and is delayed. Does this mean it has not even been started looking at?!

Update: received my final decision. Will update when I have actually received the redress!

"Affordability complaint. 12 weeks on............"

Sent an affordability complaint through a CMC which was submitted in May. To be fair the CMC were useless so dis-intructed them due to no communication. Apparently Amigo couldnt find my details as it was from 2014 without an agreement number. Finally found an old email address with my agreement number and since then nothing. Got an email acknowledging the complaint saying they had 8 weeks. I have emailed everyday saying that the complaint was made in May. 8 weeks are well and truly over. All I can do is continue to chase but so far it is a joke. It is straightforward complaint, I was late paying most months and genuinely couldn't afford it. Will chase every day until this is resolved.

"Comforting and helpfull"

Agreement number 43064192 I was frustrated at first but then realised there work load and the covid.
I've since re thought what they are going through and at the start was as angry as some of the customers on here yet they have done everything they could to help me with there time lines and even had a call from a lovely lady who has been chasing things up for me even ringing me well after 6 o'clock when they are closed I am 7 days into my 15 days on waiting for payment and understand thats my time line anything earlier would be a huge bonus as off work with cancer so the early payment would see me through for a few months and help me fight off the bills.but that's not amigos fault its just unlucky timing getting cancer.
So when I get to 15 days and get no readress will speak to customer service but I'm confident my time lines will be met.

"Amigo are now stalling on my redress…"

Amigo are now stalling on my redress payment, I was told funds would be with me between the 28/07 and 4/08 but today I've been told payments are now taking upto 20 days which takes me to Wed of next week. Is anyone else in same boat? My account was paid up 11 years ago and I'm really happy to get back what I'm getying but now wondering if it will ever reach me 😢

"I’m beyond disgusted!"

Communication with Amigo has been extremely poor. Left on hold for over 30 minutes at a time only to be told that my redress payment ‘should’ be made within 20 working days. I see that others are being told 15 working days.....
I’ve sent 2 emails, a week apart, to the Ops Director and to date haven’t had a response! I agree with many other customers when they say that if we were ‘late’ in making payment to them then we would be bombarded with letters, texts, phone calls and e mails. The company has agreed a redress figure and have my bank details - why on earth does it take so long for a bank transfer to be made? If they were issuing a loan then we all know it can be done quickly.......
I have been left living off less than £20 a week as a result of losing my job due to Covid-19 so this redress payment is incredibly important to me.
I’m disgusted that it’s taking so long and have lost all faith in the company as a result of the complete lack of communication.

UPDATE - 11/8/20 Still no sign of a payment. Have called numerous times to be given conflicting information; one lady said it would be 15 working days, another says 20......Apparently we are in a queue based on when offers were accepted but others on here have received their payments and accepted the offer AFTER me! How is that fair? Massively disappointed and left not knowing what to believe!
FURTHER UPDATE - 17/8/20. Have just spent over 20 minutes on the phone with someone called ‘Rob’ and have now been told that I have to wait up to 35 working days from date of acceptance of offer! I am so annoyed that I continue to receive conflicting information (15, 20 and now 35 working days!) and when I asked to speak to a supervisor or head of complaints dept I was told that this individual isn’t ‘customer facing!’ How on earth is the head of a customer complaints dept not customer facing? This has all become farcical. I am now in the process of making a complaint to FOS.
