"Not a Good Experience!"

Sadly the bad reviews on this site about Floormats.co.uk has been my experience also. I ordered 1 week ago. Paid via paypal. Had a PayPal receipt but got nothing from Floormats.co.uk. I had no idea of whos delivering, when or had any tracking number! Today (20.3.19), 1 week later I decided to call this company but after 10 minutes the call ended whilst I was waiting in a que. I then called their "sales" department on the same number and guess what? Same thing happened. I then decided to look for online reviews and saw this site. I can confirm my experience is the same as everyone else's. They take your money but you do not get your goods or anything acknowledgement such as a simple email. I am going through PayPal to get my refund despite sending floormats.co.uk an email which I doubt they will answer. I've come across companies like this before and wonder if they inevitably shut down and those same owners open a new businesses elsewhere doing the same things all over again!!!

Update (20.3.19): After speaking to PayPal they escalated my raised dispute today against Floormats.co.uk to respond within 10 days. Unexpectedly Floormats did respond, almost instantly providing tracking information. My order was apparently being delivered today. Shortly afterwards Parcelforce delivered my chair mats but I rejected the order because I could see through the cardboard opening the mats were transparent grey not clear opaque as advertised. I'm now waiting for my refund. Bottom line is, the company did send my order but did not keep me informed with tracking or a receipt of purchase and the items delivered were not the colour I ordered. For all that, I will raise my rating from 1 star to 2.

Update (2.4.19): No refund from floormats.co.uk despite receiving this email on 20.3.19 (13 days ago) "I have now advised that this item be returned to ourselves.Once we see that it has been, we can then process your refund." so I contacted paypal who have now given me the refund I was seeking. I will never buy from floormats.co.uk ever again. Back to 1 star again.

I received my refund so I have increased my 1 star to 3 stars.

Avoid this company. Order placed 8 days ago. Emailed twice, telephoned no reply.

Terrible customer service! Ordered an item and 7 days later still not received ot or heard anything.

Sent them an email thu their website twice and NO reply despite saying they aim to get back to u within 4hrs.

Tried phoning several times and noone answers!

Would not recommend and won't be using them again!!!

"Very poor - avoid"

Massively late delivering my order (basically they had forgotten) then one arrived in the wrong colour. Was generously offered a 30% discount off my next purchase! Avoid.

Scam Company... BEWARE like all other reviews on here other then the ones that have been paid for, they have a website they have an address, telephone number, this looks like a fine company they come top on google however this is all just a scam once the money is handed over they will not pick up the phone ever.. just rings and rings then cuts off.
I emailed to ask where my mat was as i had heard nothing, i don't know whose delivering it, when, how i have no tracking order nothing.
I got one email reply which seemed like a template, sorry you haven't got your goods the delivery company has it ill email them to find out. That's it no more correspondence that's the end of the scam done we have your money that's it.
Currently trying to go through Paypal to get money back.
Do your self a favor look for a different company.

""Durable" Polycarbonate Mat Lasted Less Than One Year"

I bought a Polycarbonate mat to protect carpet under my desk at home. The product was described as "durable" and "High strength polycarbonate, Crack, curl, break and scratch resistant". It lasted less than a year. Large cracks developed especially near where the front wheels of office chair rest. I sent a photo of the largest crack and the company basically said it doesn't guarantee the product.

My previous polycarbonate mat, from IKEA, lasted over four years on a similar low pile carpet. If anything, I spent more time per day on the IKEA mat. I told the company that their mat has not been in direct sunlight or unduly heated or unduly cold. I am the only user of my desk. My chair is a standard office chair on five plastic castors. I weigh 96 kg, which is not uncommon for a male these days. No refund or replacement offered.

Instead, "... we can never guarantee how long any mat will last. This is mainly due to the wide range of application uses and the amount of variables that can be taken in to consideration, for example carpet pile depth, carpet type, chair type etc. "

But this doesn't stop the company claiming that the product is "durable". In my book, that means it should not starting cracking well before the first year of use is up. There were far cheaper products available. I gave my business because I wanted a product that would last.

As I am no longer handy to IKEA, I will replace with heavy duty vinyl flooring offcut and suggest others do the same.

Update 16.08.19. Floor Mats UK sent me a message today via Trust Pilot asking for my details, including order number. Why follow up a bad review six months after it was posted?

My guess is in the hope of having the review eliminated due to a lack of response to the request. I have sent enough information to confirm the purchase was genuine.

It would be great to learn they accept my experience was very unsatisfactory and a refund is on its way. I will post here if I get one, but it is not what I expect.

Placed an online order for 2 mats plus was charged delivery and alleged insurance. Got 1. Where’s the other? My severely disabled husband had to move 2 rooms around in advance of delivery and Ibtook the day off for delivery thanks very much!

When I phoned 4 times I got pu5 into an automated system for 6 minutes and then the6 ended the call EVERY SINGLE TIME.

What type of place takes your money, doesn’t produce and then treats you like this? Only a thief behind a screen!!! They will be dealt with as nobody steals from me and gets away with it- never.

Dreadful company to deal with and even worse product. I ordered a specific coloured and sized ‘heavy duty’ floor mat which arrived two weeks later. It was expensive but I was happy to pay so that I could have exactly what I wanted. The colour was great but as soon as someone walked on the mat with dirty shoes it left a black mark that cannot be removed.
I contacted Customer Service by email who told me they would do nothing as I had placed a specific order. I replied and said that this was not good enough, but they will not get back to me. I have tried phoning and phoning and I am continually put on hold and no one ever picks up.
Absolute appalling - do not even think about using them!

"No money and no rug"

Ordered a rug 8 days ago - still no confirmation of dispatch. Money was taken right away. They got back to me by email saying I have ordered "a custom sized product, which is still being produced to your specifications. This process may sometimes take upwards of two weeks for your product to be produced and dispatched". Want to mention, that the rug I've ordered is available in custom sizes only. I have checked their website again and they don't say about 2 weeks at all.
