Complete lack of care. Visits lasting less than 10 minutes when should have been 45 minutes. Personal care not given regularly. No understanding of how to deal with a dementia sufferer. Poor communication with client and family. Please do not use.

"Terrible service and unskilled attenders"
I used the services of Caremark Care Services Ltd. in Kochi, India, which is under Caremark Care UK.
This company is just like any other local home nurse servicing company. We hired the services for my father who is 96, for whom we had been availing the service of a home nurse for about 7 years. But, our experience with Caremark was the worst of the lot.
Mr. Dibin sent by Caremark was not at all a trained person and was handling a 96 year old person without an element of compassion. When my father was groaning with pain we asked him to handle with little care, but, he replied that he is experienced and doesn’t need any instructions from us. This was his attitude from the beginning.
He lacked cleanliness as he cleaned the patient after defecation and without removing those gloves he changed the pillow covers. The defecated clothes were put in the washing machine along with other clothes.
He was not a properly trained person and his attitude was not at all good.
On assurance from Mr. Edison (local contact person) that their staff are highly experienced, we terminated the services of the bystander we had. Though the company had initially told that they always had a back-up arrangement of 3 people, they were not able to provide a replacement and suddenly we were not able to make any alternate arrangements. We talked to the local contact person and another senior person from the company, however, they were all simply supporting their staff.
My advice to anyone is don’t get carried away by their attractive brochures, photos or their international brand claiming to be registered in UK.

"I have been very pleased with the care…"
I have been very pleased with the care given to my mother. The team have built up a good rapport, they understand her needs and many times have gone above and beyond when she needed extra help.

"Started out with Caremark by…"
Started out with Caremark by professional recommendation. Started well, then quickly went down hill. Promised in front of myself, my mum, social worker, one carer and one manager, that the carers would be no more than 3 regulars. That lasted a few weeks. Mum and I advised they would not get big and take on lots of clients and staff, said one thing and did the opposite. Was processing LPOA for mum with her bank, there were delays so couldn’t pay the invoices straight away, was threatened if I didn’t care would end. New inexperienced carers did not know mums procedures and routines, left mums door unlocked. Didn’t know where to find customer carer communication sheet, didn’t know where mums medication was kept. Felt sorry for her but was glad I was there to meet her and train her. I changed care company because of mums complex needs, paid £5 extra an hour yet was getting the same service as the cheaper company and bank holidays are double time. Then when I asked for disclosure of mums account and invoices to the local authority, I was refused access due to company policy that was not made clear or in the T&C’s. Please think seriously before employing this company to care for precious family members. I have now ended the care for mum from CAREMARK.

Absolutely awful company. Do not leave your loved ones with them.
Failing to feed.
Mixing up missing and double dosing medication
Carers are poorly trained and dont keep to their times.
Turn up when they feel like it.
The office staff are rude and unhelpful
They have caused more stress than before!
This is the Cheltenham branch but looking at other reviews it seems nationwide

"Please look into this company carefully…"
Please look into this company carefully before you place anyone in your life in their care! The Management and admini staff let their care team down tremendously which in turn has a knock on affect on the care that is delivered. Luckily I live close enough to my mother to pop in on a daily basis almost - god knows what would of happened if I didn't! The main and most dangerous of their constant mistakes when mums regular carer was promoted and we were left with a constant stream of different carers - was six missed medications, no food left out for mum to eat and no link alarm put on - simple tasks but can have terrible consequences when not carried out! I must say mum had some regular carers that were fantastic but as they were only bank staff were not available all the time, so untrained and nervous unsupported carers are placed in awkward situations! The main problem is then when you try to get things put right you are met with lies and total ignorance so the frustration and anger builds and you end up with stress for your family member (already dealing with dementia and confusion) and upset and stress for yourself trying to ensure that your family members safety and well being is prioritised! In my opinion I would not use Caremark unless you have plenty of time on your hands to keep checking on them and making sure they do their job properly! Horsham West Sussex

"This relates to the Lambeth office"
This relates to the Lambeth office. See Caremark Lambeth on the most popular search engine for reviews and even some interesting responses from the care manager. She makes my point even better than I ever could. She then tried to delete them and supress the other reviews, but I have put photos all the originals in the photos for all to see who she truly is.
I can only imagine that the 5* reviews referring to positive experiences with this company are fake, because my experience was beyond terrible (and our requirements for care were very minimal by any carer's standard). The care director made a great impression at first, but it quickly became clear that she routinely over-promised and under-delivered. I could go into all the instances of people not turning up and her blaming everything and everyone except her own incomeptence, or describe the staff member that refused to speak to next of kin when asked to try to please motivate the client to go out while she was there (the sole purpose of hiring her), or even detail the apallingly defensive text tirade by the care director when asked to explain the final absence and confusion that led to yet another medical appointment cancellation and showed she truly did not care at all for those who hire her company...
But suffice to say, if you want someone who will actually care for you or your loved one, take medical and other appointments seriously and not as things that can be constantly rescheduled at the last second when someone fails to turn up (not that you'll get a call to advise you - you wait and chase it after your loved one tells you that no one has arrived), and who gives you any kind of peace of mind to allow you to trust them in your absence, DO NOT waste your time and precious energy on this company! Find someone who actually has the capacity to CARE - which this director and at least some staff clearly and sadly do not posess.

"Previous employee"
I was excited to start a new career offices based after providing care on the road with the ambulance service. It was going really well at first in my new role as care coordinator in the Bristol franchise. After a couple of weeks I learnt why they cannot keep their staff for longer than a few weeks. The care they provide is poor, the staff in office and on field are poorly treated. A lot of corners are cut in regards to compliance. It became clear that this franchise is just about making money and not being able to provide good care to the clients. As a coordinator more and more tasks were being assigned to me that I just couldn't keep on top of. I couldn't do right from wrong. The staff were expected to move heaven and earth for the company and boundaries were not respected and consistently undermined. I do not agree with the way the franchise is ran and the lack of team work and support and the amount of complaints that the company gets on a daily basis from staff and clients that are avoidable and do not get sorted. I decided to regretfully quit on the spot after being reduced to tears for a second time after being spoken to like a child with no respect and told I wasn't doing a good job despite the previous week I was told the opposite. I would advise that anyone looking for a care provider for their family to seek another company as this is not a good one. I would advise that anyone wanting to work for a care provider to seek another company as there is plenty of better ones out there.
