"Good Customer Service"
We have historically had a good working relationship with CIT. Invoices are generally sent in a timely manner, and customer service is available and responsive if there are issues.

Michael Collins from CIT addressed the issues with me and assured me they would be resolved. He was professional and communicated well. Hopefully the matter will be resolved.

"DO NOT ASSUME, ASK!"
As new customers, we had good service expectations, but unfortunately, when we signed up for a lease for a office printer, no one asked us if we had liability coverage. CIT "assumed" that we did not, so it included insurance through Assurance. It took three months to return the money that was added to our invoice and correct this error; let alone having to argue with Assurance and CIT all three months until resolved. We are still waiting for at least and apology, but I guess that is too much to ask.

"Terrible way of doing business"
Terrible way of doing business! Let me explain... After COVID, when a lot of banks lowered your APY rates down to what they saw fit, after being up in the 3.0-3.75 range, they took down to a normal bank, like .20, or similar. Well, when they finally jumped these rates back up, instead of AUTOMATICALLY taking your account back up, like they took DOWN, they waited for you to find out on your own, and then they tell you they've "added" new savings accounts with higher APY's, and yours doesn't qualify anymore. Do you see what they're doing here?! They will add another "name" to a savings account, and give potential new comers they EYE CANDY of higher APY's than other banks, but change this every other year on you, so when you're looking back 5 years ago or 10 years ago, thinking you were leaving money sitting and collecting, WRONG. Think again and switch your accounts over. TERRIBLE way of doing business. So disappointed.

"Not the kind of service you want from a bank."
Created a platinum savings account to take advantage of competitive interest rates. There were several options to transfer money from another bank. The direct transfer didn't work, so I went with the "micro transaction" transfer, where CIT makes 2 small deposits in your other bank before transferring the larger amount. I entered all of my other bank's info into CIT's form, entered a very large sum of money to transfer, and submitted. There was a message that the transactions may take a few days. A day has passed and there is no record of any transactions at either bank. My CIT account says "We're sorry but, our records indicate that you have not set up an account for online banking. Please contact us for assistance." I called them, was on hold for 32 minutes, then disconnected. While on hold, a recording kept offering a "call back" option, but it never worked. I have lost all faith in this bank, and I am seriously confused and concerned about my attempted transfer. When something seems too good to be true...

Several times I've tried to log in to my account without success. I've called customer service to help me get my account balance. After that I'd be ok for about a week, then the same thing will happen again. I'm really tired of this.

"Be careful signing their contract"
Be careful signing their contract. Have your attorney look at it. It would be cheaper at the end.

"Too little too late."
Let me say if your goal is to send out reminders they need to be more timely and in our case received the same way we receive our invoices which in our case is email. Also the email needs to have a direct reply to a person or a department that understands your account. A phone contact to that same person should be included in case a conversation needs to happen . I would suggest said person should be pleasant and not arrogant.

"This is a shady bank"
This is a shady bank, best to stay clear. There disclosure agreement says you fund transferred( by wire) to saving account will be available in 24 hours , when I transferred $5000. and the money didn't show up in my account after 48 hours I called customer service and was told it would not be available for 14 days. I see other customers have long waits getting there money transferred out. This means they have your money and thousands of other ,for a month. I was told I would be accruing interest on this account even though it was not available, but i haven't seen a cent. Also be prepared for long wait times when trying to contact customer service.
Update:
It ended up take 9 days for my money to be available in my Cit account. I move $100 out of my Cit account to my local bank and to my surprise it was transferred in 24 hours.

"Customer Service"
The customer service provided on the phone was excellent. They were extremely helpful and courteous. However, I sent two emails to customer service the 2 weeks prior to me calling and I never received a reply. Email response got 1 star and phone response got 5 stars so cumulative is 3 stars.
