"High Yield Savings Accounts Become Low Yield"
I opened a high-yield savings account several years ago. It had a rate competitive with other banks offering the products, I think over 5%. I periodically noticed the rate was decreasing but thought it was because interest rates in general were lower. Now I've discovered the interest rate has plummeted to 0.25%. At the same time, however, CIT is presently marketing other savings accounts with yields over 4%. Apparently they offer high rates and then gradually reduce them and hope the customer doesn't notice or make an effort to close the account. They don't make it easy. Otherwise, I haven't had a problem with transfers, the website, or customer support.

"Incorrect tax rates"
CIT seems unable to enter the correct tax rate when the rate varies at different locations. 6 months into our lease, and we still can't get a correct invoice.

"Before you lease, say no to CIT."
They are quick to send invoices, slow to process changes and poor communicators. The associates seem nice, but I would never voluntarily work with the organization. I made a payment and then sent in all documents required to have automatic drafts on 2-1-2023. Their set up time for auto draft is 30 days. They are a bank, and they can't get it set up for 30 days. Decided to make 5 payments over the phone, so I didn't have to deal with them again. They charged me $10, they couldn't (wouldn't) use a credit or debit card. Every interaction disgust me.

"One of the Worst decisions of my Life"
The customer service phone number goes nowhere!!! Their web portal is a joke and their insurance party is totally non-responsive.

"Nothing but headaches"
The customer service & experience with CIT is pathetic. Below outlines what I've gone through:
1) I ordered the new mac book pro and ipad
2) Shortly after receiving the new iPad, I realized I didn’t need it and requested to return it
3) After not hearing from CIT, it turns out their response email went to spam. Due to this, they said I was past the exchange date and their's nothing they can do. So much for sympathy.
4) After clearing up the email issue, it took close to a month for them to provide any details to return my old equipment. I sent multiple emails trying to resolve the issue. This is when I realized that didn't care.
5) The protocols for returning the devices is pathetic. Basically, they put all the responsibility on the customer.
6) A few back and forth emails with Funding Managers / Operations (because they don't return calls), they provided a customer service number. They'll do anything to kick the can down the road.
7) The woman at CIT was great and understanding (as customer service should be) and said I could return the new ipad due to the frustration I had experienced.
8) Logistics company sends an email outlining a return process that's disjointed and confusing.
9) I sent the products via Fedex within the week.
10) After a week, I emailed asking if they received the product, (since I know they wouldn't update me) they claimed the products arrived in empty boxes.
Now I fear my credit is going to be impacted due to their careless and reckless regarded to my financial well being. I'm hopeful that a more sensible, and responsible group, will reach out to help me.

"Previously I had a basically OK…"
Previously I had a basically OK relationship with the bank, re: CD's. However, I cannot say the same for a no-penalty CD first taken out last December, 2022. The now ongoing problems began when the login system was changed, whereby aside from providing both the user ID and the PW, next I was required to receive either text or had to call to advance further in the login process. My obstacle was that I don't have text on my mobile phone plan, nor do I have home internet (for many years I've used the computer at my local library). The end result is that after I'd opened the CD account by having mailed in the requisite document as well as a check, no longer have I been able to login. Next, I wrote to the attention of the office of the president and in part asked why the bank did not amend its system, e.g., at Marcus Bank after providing the user ID and PW, as part of the additional security sign in, the customer has the option of receiving an email with a on-time 6 # security code. Easy Peasy. But nary any form of written reply. Subsequently I emailed the banks; 'contact center." No help. Finally, TWO weeks ago I sent another letter again to the attention of the office of the president. In it, I categorically stated I wanted the original CD contribution as well as all accrued interest sent to me. First, after having enclosed a voided check from my bank, I said that the easiest for me outcome would be for C I T Bank to wire/electronically send the funds in question to my checking account, though in light of the ongoing inconveniences I'd already endured, I was not willing to pay any wire fee. The second option was to post a requisite check to me. Yet as of today's date, February 18, 2023, no such check has been seen!
